All these new Pokmon games put me to sleep with 80% of the game being dialogue (not good dialogue), cut scenes, and required quests.

I just want to explore, catch pokemon, and battle gym leaders.

Arceus was good. But any other ive tried playing, since the Gameboy days, has been so boring to get through.

And too damn easy. I miss the more challenging games of the past.

Honestly I've grown disheartened with my Switch 2. I put way less time into Mario Kart World than I ever did with Mario Kart 8, which never seemed to get old to me. I got pretty deep into my BotW replay on the Switch 2 and eventually gave that up as well. Looking at what's available and what's on the way I'm not real keen on it going forward either. This is the first Nintendo system I've owned that I feel that way about, it just doesn't move the needle for me. I've been replaying Horizon Zero Dawn on my PS4 recently because I just don't even care to turn on the Switch 2 these days.

Anyone know where I can get Animal Crossing for cheap?

I put in some time during Covid and have not come back to it since. My kid picked up Animal Crossing in December and really wants to come to my island. But we only have one (digital copy) of the game between our two Switches (original and 2).

I'd like to oblige, but $60 is a bit much for a play date.

Might be able to save a few (but not many) bucks getting a physical copy on eBay. Back when the vouchers were a thing, I used one to get a second copy for the same reason.

Thanks Tony! I've looked a bit there and marketplace. With it being in its heyday back during covid, I think people went heavy on the digital version of this game.

Not being able to share, resale or transfer outside your household seems to be the biggest drawback of going digital.

I feel the same way. Haven't been interested in any Switch 2 game releases since DK Bananza. Actually purchased Hogwarts Legacy yesterday just to scratch the itch to play something. Got the Switch 1 version and the Switch 2 upgrade for $20 total so not a bad deal.

I'm loving it. There's so much content, feels like you're constantly unlocking new stuff (but not in a tutorial-y way).

I never Animal Cross'd but this feels like a souped up and extra special (to me) version.

Yep. This is why I still haven't bought. This is the first Nintendo console I didn't buy at launch. I'll get it when the next mainline Zelda releases

Anyone get MLB the show?

Picked up Pokopia and binged it, this weekend. Enjoying it so far. I do get in the mood for "comfy" games, here and there. As a child of the 90's, throw in some classic Pokemon and i'm all in.

I'm also curious how well they plan to support the game, post launch. Addons and things like that are very intriguing.

However, I do hope it's much harder to discover how to spawn the rarer pokemon, later in the game. I would prefer more 'hints' as to habitats versus just being told what they are. But I guess they have to make the game easy for the pampered young gamers. It is funny how babied modern gamers are when my childhood was filled with games that were hard as hell.

According to established leaker NateTheHate, Ocarina of Time remake is on the way for Christmas 2026!

I know NateTheHate is supposed to be pretty reliable, and an OoT remake would be a day one buy for me, but that has been rumored for so long I can't help but doubt!

A new StarFox game is rumored for the summer, too

I downloaded the Mario Wonder upgrade/expansion, and it's pretty fun with the kids.

Do any of yall use any special grip accessories for playing your Switch2? I loved the CRKD NitroDeck for my first switch, but they have yet to release their NitroDeck 2 (and I have also heard from a friend that tried it at PAX that it wasn't particularly well made).

He said he started using the PWRUP switch 2 pro grip unit. But there are a lot of recommendations online for Savage Raven from Skull & Co's grips. Just curious if anyone here has any positive feedback on these.

The grip feels great in my hands, it fits into the dock without taking the grip off, and the case fits the entire thing.

I use this. Rumble isn't important to me and the rumble on this isn't high quality (you can set the intensity). Also have to take it off to dock the Switch.

I don't know about years past, but evidently Nintendo leadership is pretty upset about this leak which makes me think it's got some validity to it. A new OoT would definitely get me psyched about my Switch 2 again.

I've seen reports of the same, which definitely makes me think it may have more legitimacy. I'm hoping after the Mario movie hype dies down a little after release that we'll get a direct in late April.
