No not at all

Do tell me more! They supported him and he won in a landslide as the most conservative republican incumbent ever?

Not bad for a bunch of day laborers and some Behr paint out of Home Depot!

Made me think of this. My dad built several ponds that feed in to each other and are loaded up with big rainbow trout. This is in WA state. He's always had trouble keeping the water clear because of the algae, pine/fir needles, and wildlife sh**. So he found this company in Florida that makes this amazing water dye they use at golf courses, theme parks, etc, to keep pond/lake water clear and blue. It works fantastically.

The funny part is he has to buy it in Florida and have them ship it my house in Texas. Then I take it back to UPS and have them ship it to his place in WA. The company can't ship to WA because it's illegal there (and CA, NY, etc).

That's probably all the reflecting pool needed. A couple of treatments with some gold old Florida blue water dye. Save even more money.

That somebody had their wife buy for them in order to further defraud Derp Trump and his lack of construction experience. So corrupt.

Plus leaky **** pool would have been fine.

LOL. Reflecting blue skies is pretty common. Cup some water in your hand, it is not blue. In seas and oceans.

True story time, telling on myself for being stupid. (It happens.) There is a long backstory here but Cliff's Notes. There was a pond, Grandad drained it directly into the all weather creek because of drainage, The Hubs wants to put the pond back where it was. Turns out the small bulldozer operator that took it out was there to dig it out again, only much deeper. (Clay bottoms, those work for ponds.)

But the water wasn't settling they way we wanted. Too muddy in appearance. Sooooo, I bought a bunch of Mrs. Stewart's Bluing bottles (IYKYK) to pour into the pond to change the color. Worked great...for about a day.

End of story. Pond settled. Water reflects the sky. It looks blue from the house view.

Trump gaggling with the WH press on fountains and reflecting pools. When Trump 2.0 came into office, all 31 DC fountains were inoperable and now 21 of 31 are working. (I have no idea if they were all not working or if this is a play on words as the Inauguration Day 2025 probably were inoperable due to weather.

The reflecting pool is now headed to $20 million to repair the walkways around. If true, that would be more money Obama wasted as they should have lasted longer than 15 years.

Trump is fixing things.

Press invited to go look at fountain before he puts water back in it.

Why just psot a total lie? Low class low brow low IQ ad hom posting is noted. Particularly since I already replied to the first lie.

Is it jealousy?

Or do you actually have anything to discuss?

When the poster I engaged with earlier in the thread was about as arrogant and condescending as one could possibly be, then I am going to give it back.

They evidently did not want to discuss their actual knowledge, but instead as you have done just claim others have no idea about nothin.

Stay classy bro.

Thing is they skipped right by any discussion on immersion cooling to try and bloviate nonsense on air chilling and evaporative cooling. They then had decades old information on "ice battery". I provided links and information, they provided, as you have done, derails about me personally.

If you want to discuss cooling of data centers, let's have at it. On that thread. If you want to discuss reflection pools, we can do that here.

I identify as Black sometimes when choosing my music, drink and smoke. Sometimes just a plain ol cracker, sometimes I try and be a mexihonkey.

However, I think the above may be the first time in my life I have been called uppity. Hell, may be the first time anyone from Dickinson Tx has been called uppity. Quite a day.

Previous failures by other administrations still doesn't explain why the contract needed to be directly awarded to that vendor without competition.

With contractors charging thousands of dollars for hammers because they can. It's the federal government. Probably also in a time crunch to get it done before the 4th.

When I have to submit a 3inch binder of paperwork for each hammer I sell to the gubmit then wait 9 months to get paid for the hammer that I had to ensure was ethically and responsibly sourced, is environmentally responsible, is not gender specific, and is delivered by a trans non-binary furry then I may have to charge a higher than market rate. Gnomsayin?

Don't forget that you can't just sell the gubmint a COTS hammer, you have to build all the tooling to make the 17 hammers you sell them. So, you have to charge the $20K that you spent on the tooling as part of the cost of the hammer.

Lockheed Martin hammers have a heft and balance that simply must be experienced to be fully appreciated. The Inconel head just cannot be beaten for corrosion resistance. The shock absorbing grip is far superior to the General Dynamics hammers which have a greater than average propensity to cause Lateral Epicondylitis in the operator.

You clearly have no idea how government contracting works if you think people are making big margins on those contracts. Competitive government procurements are very cutthroat right now. The high cost is because of the hugely inefficient and clunky procurement bureaucracy on the government side that makes it way harder than it needs to be, not because anybody is winning with a high margin bid.

When you know what you're doing the margin ain't bad neither. Competitive bidding is still very subjective.

Depends on the mechanism. You can make really good money on high risk fixed price jobs if you have a COR that lets you put in change orders for realized risks or on best value procurments. But in commodity procurements and low price/technically acceptable low risk task orders, you are at the mercy of whoever is hungriest for the revenue.

Those hammers would be awesome if they were just Stanley hammers bought in bulk from Home Depot...

Alas...

That is not something is happening...

Think the weather has been ****ty in DC for a few days so no big updates.

Next question is what will be done to the Capitol reflecting pond. I assume it is part of the congressional footprint and this Trump cannot paint it. Will there be a bi-partisan vote to get that pool redone?

In doing so, they could finally recognize all the cops who lost their lives on Jan 6th, it there is enough room to list all the names.
