If he's telling the truth, pushing someone who is coming at you aggressively is a completely rational and appropriate response. Defensive in nature if that person is encroaching on your space and doesn't stop.
Someone as high profile as this actor should know not to throw repeated uppercuts at a neighbors face as he is on the ground because he pushed you as you were coming at him.

You're conveniently leaving out the part where the guy literally says, "I walked out in front of him." Ritchson was "coming at him" only because the guy literally walked out into the street to stop him. That's not "defensive in nature" and Ritchson wasn't "encroaching" on the guy's "space." The guy was objectively on the offensive/encroaching on Ritchson's space.
Now, Ritchson definitely seems like he was being an incredibly annoying/inconsiderate/unsafe neighbor over the course of a couple days. I totally get that and I'd be pissed at him as well. But in no world would I be legally justified for stepping out into the street, in the path of his bike, and pushing him... twice.
I'd very much like to see the earlier footage leading up to this. You could be right, there's various ways this could have played out. For example, Did the guy jump out aggressively in front of him, or was he 200-300yds down the road trying to get them to stop so he can talk to them? Did Reacher approach him aggressively or calmly? How hard did the guy push him? Was it offensive or defensive? Etc. Those details could make a difference imo
Still, over the top thug behavior from Jack Reacher. Chris Pratt doesn't do this. Ryan Gosling doesn't do this. Shia Lebouf maybe, lol
