I'd like to see Sophi or Alex win. I am impressed how they got whittled down and now have ridden the wave and are playing pretty smart. MC would be another favorite for me. Kristina finishing third with 0 votes seems like the can't miss bet of the season right now.

My gut tells me the rest of them really blew it by not targeting Rizzo or Savannah in the last vote. They were exceedingly comfortable in the first part of the individual part of the game and if you could have broken that up, you really could have turned the game into something completely different.

If Sophi stays with them, you could definitely see an upcoming tribal where Rizo plays his idol for himself and Sophi take MC's with the knowledge of power and gives it to Savannah, and then the 3 of them target someone else and flip the scrpt again. I would assume that would be Sophie since they wanted her out the first time around.

It's a pretty common thing for the tribe that get decimated for one or two of them to go far.

The others get "pissed" they're not playing the game so they make big moves.

Pretty sure several winners have come from decimated tribes like that the last being that red head lady.

It is either a lovely serendipitous thing or a true sign of being a massive dork (or both) how much I enjoy sitting on the couch with a legal pad counting up the scores for a Survivor episode for this game.

Think we should expand it to 5 or 6 choices per person to eliminate so much overlap for 50?

As much as I don't want this to happen because it hurts me , but I feel like Savannah earns -3 points for her meltdown.

Yeah, Savannah is really starting to annoy my wife and I. She had that whole sob story about being left out but then when the situation flips and she wins Immunity and gets to go to tribal she is so condescending about it...

That being said, she is a fun villain to root against so I hope she sticks around a little longer

Survivor island 12

On the scoring, I watched Savannah's breakdown twice in a row and I agree, she was crying about a specific incident, not some indelible fact of life, so she avoided the point deficiency.

My notes from the show.

Soph reveals she's never "talked game" with Steven until right now, yikes.

I almost told DoitBest that his wife's pick of Kristina made no sense because she was never going to do anything; then she found an HII and was on Team Immunity for this episode, and how is the overall points leader with 29.

A few of you were spot on with your analysis of Sage. Now that Shannon is gone, she's immediately turned her focus on how terrible Savannah is.

Steven has become my spirit animal for "IDGAF" reactions as other people fake bare their souls to him. He did with Shannon a few episodes ago, now again with Savannah and her bullying story.

That said, I loved Savannah's heel turn when she got the II and got to go to the other beach, because she was in maximum GFY with everyone besides Rizo. She didn't even vote, she just walked around and made them all freak out.

At this point, Rizo seems like the odds-on favorite for me. He's playing much smarter than the rest of them, and the fact that he confidently didn't play his idol and was able to almost just sit back and let the rest of them self-destruct to where he got zero votes was utterly remarkable. And it started with just one misstep of MC declaring to Sophie that she would put a vote on Jawan. All she had to say was, "Hey, if he play the idol, I think it would be smart for one of us to put a vote on Jawan OR Sage, what do you think?" and it probably is Rizo going home. But once that game of telephone started, it was meltdown city.

Again, high praise for Jawan, who was the last guy standing in a challenge that almost always seems to favor women due to foot size.

I just can't see how or why they let Rizo slip through the cracks when they pretty much knew he wasn't go to play his idol. All MC, or Sophie for that matter, had to do was keep their mouths shut about putting a vote on Jawan and Rizo is going home, followed probably by Savannah next week (even though she still has that extra vote, don't think it would matter).

Listened to most of the podcast today - I fell asleep for some of it -

She is not a lifetime fan, she didn't know anything about Survivor until watching an episode of Season 47 with friends and applied the next day.


A fan question for the podcast asked about how many people know that you're on Survivor - Jeff said usually just your immediate family and your boss if needed. He said that when you get to the final interviews that are all at a hotel in LA, if you purposely make contact with other people or try to figure out who the other contestants are, which is against the rules, not only are you disqualified from that season, but banned for life.

Someone else asked Jeff about how gross it was to take the hidden immunity idols from people at Tribal considering where they are being kept on the person's body. Jeremy is the former player on the podcast and he told Jeff, "I hope you washed your hands immediately after I gave you my HII."
