When Reece's team showed up to save Edwards, were they rogue? I'm not sure how any command would sign off on the engagement in a friendly nation. If rogue, what would they have done if some of them were KIA? I also like how Edwards was able to find an off grid farm in the middle of nowhere, but seemingly only 15 minutes away from everyone, with a convenient escape tunnel.

So, I'm almost finished reading the second book True Believer. I felt it was really slow in the beginning, took literally half the book for the action to really start rolling. But once it did it was definitely engaging. I skipped the Terminal List book since I had already seen the show. Just curious, if all of his books are like this...a long setup then faster paced as the pieces finally come together.

There's definitely setup, but far less than True Believer. It's reframing coming out of terminal list & a lot of the things from it set up the rest of the series. I would second the other poster though, Terminal List is definitely a read over the series.

These responses make me feel better. I just order terminal list the book as an attempt to get into the book series. Have seen the tv series and was worried it would be boring / repetitive since I've already seen the show
