Chris Pratt, Taylor Kitsch.

Enjoyed the first season ( Book was Better )

Spoiler Alert Follows:

Knowing how the first season ended, it's a prequal.

I mean, I'm sure I'll watch but why didn't they just move on to book 2 of the series?

Also, I didn't like how they changed the ending of season 1 from how the book ended.

First 3 episodes out yesterday...

2 episodes in, and I think it's great. The premise introduced in episode 2 seems a little far-fetched, but it plays out nicely.

Apparently 5 of the 7 episodes were written by veterans.

Carr's pushing new books probably. Going with the prequal option.

I hated the ending as well, but the book ending with the obvious Hillary Clinton-esq character getting wacked was probably too on the nose for the studio execs.

Love the books. A little disappointed at the changes in the first season but understand the liberties they had to take.

Pretty sure they started filming the second book and this was more of a vehicle to give Taylor Kitsch specifically a series for everything he has done for veterans. He founded a healing center in Bozeman.

I really liked the Terminal List (and love the books) so I'm curious how the plot works out on this prequel season since it's not based on a book. I'm assuming Jack Carr was involved in the scripts but have not seen any info on that.

Looking forward to watching it as soon as I get through a few more episodes of Mobland.

The casting choice for Raife Hastings (Tom Hopper) was spot on. Jules Landry was one of the CIA guys, seemed to be a good casting choice as well.

Waiting for the True Believer series, I think it was the best book of the James Reece series.

Really enjoyed this so far. Didn't realize they only released 3 episodes, and was bummed when I realized I had to wait for more.

I did get a chuckle of them dressed in full suits at the club in episode 3. Would've been made instantly.

Anyone care to share the difference in season 1 ending vs the book? Maybe that is too close to spoiler territory, but I didn't know that there was a difference.

Without trying to spoil anything:
1. The whole SDPD/FBI thing isn't in the book. JD Pardo's character doesn't exist
2. The list and killings are scrambled up a bit
3. The outcome of the ending is the same, just took a different way to get there with characters involved.

did they actually show the end of Taylor Kitsch in season 1 or just intimated it without seeing the actual shot

i think it was heavily heavily implied. I don't remember if there was a shot or not.

I enjoyed the first season, but the girl they cast for Katie was terrible. If you've read the books, she's nothing like Katie in the books. And she was not a great actress, so it was super distracting the first season. Maybe if I hadn't read the books, it wouldnt have bothered me as much...but she really stood out; not in a good way.

Kind of glad this season is a prequal so I dont have to deal with her again. I was wondering where the title came from, since it wasn't book #2

Looking forward to watching it.

Agree completely, the choice for Katie Buranek's character was head scratcher at best.

Really enjoyed episode 4. I did not expect the ending. Although, looking back at the episode intro scenes and several scenes leading up to the end, it is now pretty obvious that it was coming.

Have not read the books and I need to. I loved season 1, but season 2 is better so far. I recommended to my brother to watch season 2 before season 1. Just seems to make season 1 have more gravity at the end. Unless the betrayal and the reasons for it come out later in this season.
Today, unfortunately, many Americans have good reason to fear that they will be victimized if they are unable to protect themselves. And today, no less than in 1791, the Second Amendment guarantees their right to do so. - Justice Samuel Alito 2022

Can't believe there's not more chatter on this show. I think it is VERY well done and keeps me sucked in the whole time. Hasn't been an "off" episode imo. Only mad can't binge it.

Had me rewatching season 1 in between episodes. Becoming a big Taylor Klisch fan.

This is one of my favorite shows on right now. Also, the actual second season which follows the True Believer book (Terminal List sequel) is already in the works. Dark Wolf is only a filler to give background to Ben and Raife's characters.

Scene where they took out that jet on the taxiway was pure nails.

My wife: How's he going to get that briefcase off his hand??

Oh…

That just made my day! I had a bad feeling Raife would die, but I guess not according to what you posted.I'm thinking maybe I need to read the books, now.

I also agree that it's surprising this show is being talked about, more. I expected a bit of a dropoff from S1, but I'm actually liking this better.

I'm enjoying it too.

I'm routinely amused at English actor Hopper doing the Rhodesian accent for Raife after watching him for multiple seasons in the Umbrella Academy as Number One.

The books are really good. I didn't enjoy the first season of terminal list because I had just finished a second read through of the book and was comparing all the differences.

Rewatched Terminal List again with some distance between the book and the show; the show held up much better this time (except for Katie character).

Raife plays a large part in the books and should be a big part of the second season

My Zimbabwean wife (she was born the day after the name changed from Rhodesia) thinks that Hopper's accent is "pretty good". I really liked this season. Can't wait for the next one.

That was excellent. I'm a huge fan of the book series and I wonder if the success of this season leads to additional prequel seasons centered around the Edwards character. The sequel to the Terminal List is in development now and they have a half dozen more books to use for future seasons. Jack Carr has never written a prequel novel about Edwards but maybe the TV show will prompt him to write one or two.

Totally agree. I pay more attention to the Popcornmeter. How many shows and movies with great critics ratings but have sucked in reality....

Question about the last episode, so very spoilerific if you haven't watched:

When Reece's team showed up to save Edwards, were they rogue? I'm not sure how any command would sign off on the engagement in a friendly nation. If rogue, what would they have done if some of them were KIA? I also like how Edwards was able to find an off grid farm in the middle of nowhere, but seemingly only 15 minutes away from everyone, with a convenient escape tunnel.
