TMZ using the arrow to help their audience understand which of these 3 guys might be named John Redcorn.

Story begins with man being chased by ferocious man-eating tiger. Tiger chase him to edge of cliff. Man falls off. Halfway down, he grab onto branch. He look up, he see ferocious tiger. Now he look down, he see another hungry tiger, waiting for him on the ground below. Not a good place to be. He knows for sure he gonna die. Then out of corner of his eye he see a wild strawberry growing on same branch. He pluck it and eat it. And it was the sweetest-tasting strawberry he ever had.

But also, the last few years I've seen several reports of Jonathan Joss acting erratically and being incoherent or aggravated by something... he seems to have lost a lot of weight and his house burned down earlier this year. Guy was going through it.

Neighbors on the San Antonio block where the shooting occurred tell TMZ ... Joss' home burned down in February, but he returned Sunday to collect a victim's fire fund check. While there, he found the skeleton of one of his dogs killed in the fire, and it sent him into a rage -- he started yelling at anyone he saw in the area.

We're told that led to a spat with Alvarez-Cega, who lives two doors down ... and shortly thereafter, the suspect allegedly drove over and shot Jonathan before fleeing. Emergency crews arrived on the scene and attempted to save the actor.

We hear the two men have a history ... and allegedly have been in both verbal and physical fights in the past. Neighbors say Joss' rants were actually a fairly common occurrence, and police had been called on him several times prior to his house burning down.

Neighbors also told TMZ the actor would do kooky stuff ... like bang pans on his roof in the middle of the night.

We're told Joss' home burned down after he used a BBQ pit to heat it ... which he said he had to do because the city allegedly shut off his power when the home was deemed unsafe and uninhabitable.

At this point the revival feels like an Agatha Christie story as each actor dies off. It feels like this is cursed at this point.

Sounds like the guy was very troubled.

Isabel Caballero, who's lived on the block since 2021, told MySA she witnessed the aftermath of the shooting that occurred around 7 p.m. in the 200 block of Dorsey Drive on Sunday. She said she initially thought it was a relative who lives nearby, but realized it was Joss after running to the scene once three gunshots went off in the neighborhood. Caballero said she saw Joss with a gunshot wound to the neck and torso.

Caballero said Joss had visited his home to retrieve his mail but then "started freaking out" once he saw the remains of his dogs outside his home, which burned down in January. Caballero said she didn't think much of Joss's yelling, as he was known to shout frequently in the neighborhood

"He would just walk up and down the street...he would just like scream," she said. "He was just very loud, very loud. But we knew how he was, so we wouldn't disturb him. Even if he looked at us, talked mess to us, we just ignored him because we knew that's how he was."

Another neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, also shared a similar sentiment, saying he "wasn't a good neighbor." She said Joss would "always do erratic things in the street" and claimed "he was God." She said neighbors called the police regarding his behavior; however, nothing occurred.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers have responded to Joss' address on Dorsey Drive over 40 times since January 2024, with calls connected to mental health disturbances, disturbance with neighbors, general disturbances, welfare checks and the fire reported in January. Police did not respond to any calls from February 2 to June 1. Neighbors had said he wasn't seen as much on the property after the fire.

"I'm so sad it had to come to this," she said. "We all knew it was going to end up like this because of his antics. It's sad cause this could have been prevented if he had gotten the help he needed."

San Antonio police said officers were dispatched to the location for a shooting in progress on Sunday. When they arrived, they found Joss near the roadway in the area. Officers attempted life-saving measures until EMS arrived. Joss was pronounced dead at the scene after medics made it to the scene.

According to SAPD's calls for service, a call for a disturbance on Dorsey Drive came in at 5:57 p.m. Another call for a disturbance with a neighbor was made at 6:48 p.m. About 15 minutes later, SAPD received two calls for a shooting in progress.

Police have arrested Ceja, 56, in connection with the shooting of Joss. Court records show that he has been charged with first-degree murder and his bond has been set at $200,000.

The neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, said Ceja and Joss had been arguing before the shooting. She believes the fatal shooting stemmed from the neighbor being "fed up" with Joss' antics.
However, Joss' husband Tristan Kern de Gonzales shared a different story of what happened on Sunday in a statement on social media. He confirmed he and Joss visited the home to check the mail, and the two began yelling after discovering the skull of one of their dogs. Ceja allegedly approached the two and began yelling "violent homophobic slurs," which then led to the fatal shooting, Kern de Gonzales claims.

"When the man fired Jonathan pushed me out of the way. He saved my life," Joss' husband stated. "He gave me more love in our time together than most people ever get...He was murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other."

However, the SAPD has said they have no evidence of this occurring. "Our investigation has found no evidence whatsoever to indicate that the Mr. Joss's murder was related to his sexual orientation," the SAPD said in a statement Monday. "We take such allegations very seriously and have thoroughly reviewed all available information. Should any new evidence come to light, we will charge the suspect accordingly."

SAPD said the investigation is ongoing.

The gay husbands story is laughable.
Very Jussie Smollet. All that's missing is the neighbor screaming "this is MAGA country!!" before shooting the dude.

His house burned down in February and they're going there to check the mail in freaking June? Whatever.

The neighbors had arranged the pet remains to antagonize them when they showed up? These pets that were so beloved that they didn't bother to collect their remains after the fire? Whatever.

He's clearly crazy, drunk, high, or all of the above in that video posted above.

Dollars to donuts he showed up and started antagonizing the neighbors.

Johnny Hardwick got lost in the character of Dale Gribble and faked his own death a couple of years ago, then got revenge on John Redcorn for sleeping with his wife by burning down Jonathon Joss's home, driving Joss insane until his "unplanned" demise.

BTW, Jonathan Joss wasn't the original John Redcorn. He was voiced in the first season by Victor Aaron (including The Order of the Straight Arrow which is dedicated to him) who died in a car wreck before the first season was released.

I am always a wait and see individual. But it felt very convenient after a near total meltdown in public and seemingly comes across at trying to protect his husband's image.

Yeah... the husband is also claiming the housefire was caused by the neighbors. Joss himself already admitted to it being caused by a gas-heater after the city shut off his utilities due to his house being deemed unsafe... they're both loons.

I didn't watch every season, but my all time favorite moment is when Hank is struggling and the professional motivator talks to him outside the gym.
He says "I worked with the Dallas Cowboys, ya know."
Hank asks, "What season?"
The guy says "Last year."
Hank stands up and says "GOOD BYE!"

That's how I felt when it originally ran. So many story lines and jokes were truly Texas specific. I often wondered how non Texans appreciated or "got" it.

I love how they aged the characters and didn't pretend to pick up where they left off. Very creative, even if risky.

Okay. I just watched S9 E5 "Dale to the Chief"
Hank gets his driver's license and his sex is Female. Yadda, yadda and he gets it changed back.
On the license, his zip code 73104. That's Oklahoma City, OK (according to the "internet"). Hmm. I don't think so.

Arlen is obviously a composite of several typical texas suburbs. I think the consensus from hard-core KOTH fans is that it mostly resembles Garland/Richardson and Temple/Belton. I know Judge lived in the Canyon Creek neighborhood of Richardson right before he hit it big with Beavis and Butthead. He was also giving an interview on the ticket (dallas sports radio) several years back where he said he drew the inspiration for Hank's character after an encounter with a neighbor of his in Richardson.
