Are the women going to predict better for outdoors?

Absolutely! Throw in the steeple, javelin, 4x100, discus, we're projected to score in all of those and possibly medal or win the 4x100. We also get Jasmine Montgomery back, who's our fastest 100/200 runner, possibly even fastest 400 runner, as well as Adrianna Tatum a transfer who is an elite sprinter as well. Both only had outdoor eligibility!

Ok, that's screams potential natty to me. Indoors seem like a bit of a wash for this season. Maybe consider it a warm up for outdoors for the women?

Very much so, on the men's side it's the opposite. We have a lot of guys who only had an indoor season of eligibility left so we have to win this indoors! On the women's side we'll have a shot but Georgia is still the heavy favorite with what they added. Their lineup is almost scary but we can give them a fight. 3rd or 4th will be our floor on the women's side

On the men's side, we all know that we are out of the top 12 in the DMR, not sure the race will be qualifying pace fast for conference this weekend or if we risk making guys like Narumbe or Gajdos or a 400 runner before their individually races.

I'm curious to see if Robinson or Jacobs runs the 200 this week, I expect they only run the 400. I want to see Farquharson or Hemphill run a faster 400 time, they are absolutely capable. I think we see Narumbe run a faster 800 time. He's in 11th and there will be some drop the race for the mile, but I don't want to risk anything. Hopefully Sharman-Newell can drop his 800 time closer to his PB as well. I also want to see Micah Larry hit a seasons best in the long jump to assure his spot for nationals too. Solovev, Harrison and Zimmerman should be safe, not sure we see Harris do the Heptathlon this weekend.

Women's side we need a lot of work. Hopefully our long jumpers can get another PR. Maybe a sprinter makes a big jump as well, but I don't think we're getting anyone else in running wise besides Dickson and Covington, which is disappointing Winny Bii would be huge for us in the triple jump but she hasn't competed once indoors. Carlson is a 5 way tie for 12th. Not sure how the tiebreaker goes, but if one or two people Pr we could be in jeopardy there. No point in having Yakushina do a pentathlon this week. Go try to get us points in the long jump or a qualifying mark.

Biggest disappointment as of now is not having a women's 4x400 projected into nationals. Seems every school has been getting faster and stronger every year but we've struggles to recruit or sign at that event on the women's side after it being our best for so long. (We will have Jasmine Montgomery and Adriana Tatum outdoors to help with that relay and sprinting).

Nevermind looking at the conference rankings we need Harris' 10 potential points in the heptathlon

Who do you see as the favorites on the men and women's side in the sec championship this weekend ?

The men's side I think it comes down to Arkansas and us. They have the edge in the distance events and the 60/200. We are really going to have to score in field events to make up the difference. Tennessee and Auburn are dark horses. Bama will score in the 400 and distance events!

On the women's side I think Georgia is the favorite, along with Arkansas. We have some good depth but not enough at the very top. Georgia has a lot of stars, as well as South Carolina and Florida. We'll need field event help and our distance girls to get some points.

I need to do more studying and wait for the heat sheets to come up with more solid predictions!!

It really sucks that we missed top 12 in the DMR. We've shown what we are capable of if we made the meet last year.

Yeah, it makes me sad! I wish Luca Santorum was healthy, we'd get in easily… maybe looking positive at it we can have Narumbe focus on the 800 and maybe score there

That 800 is no joke this year. I'd like our chances more in the DMR.

Agree, I'm hoping some of them focus on the mile. I'm also curious how Narumbe does with some faster competition. In his 800's this year he's been running alone that second lap and with his fast 1000 I think he has some strength, will be interesting!

Also curious if we decide to go all out day 1 and go after a fast DMR time to see if we go faster and go for the points, same with Arkansas. Or do we save our main guys for the individual events

I'd put my money on individual events.
