Dismal second half dooms Texas A&M against Tennessee, 73-63

Texas A&M was unable to turn its assumed size advantage into anything meaningful on Thursday night, and the Aggies went cold from the field in the second half. Combined, those factors were enough to doom A&M to its fourth loss of the season.

The absence of a true point guard hurt the Aggies Thursday night.

Their absence of low-post scoring hurt them more.

Frigid shooting in the front court and poor ball security led to predictable results as Texas A&M opened Southeastern Conference basketball play with a 73-63 loss to Tennessee at Reed Arena.

It wasn’t nearly that close.
