For the first time since 2021, the Reed Arena scoreboard showed triple digits as Texas A&M sped away from Texas Southern in the second half on Thursday night. Up 41-36 at the break, the Aggies shot 60.6 percent from the field over the final 20 minutes to win by 34 points.

Yes, the scoreboard inside Reed Arena does go up to triple digits.

After a slow start, Bucky McMillan’s Aggies used a dominant 33-10 run out of halftime to go from a dog fight with Texas State to a blowout of the Tigers.

It was the program’s first time breaking triple digits since 2021 when they scored 102 on Dallas Christian, an NCCAA school. The last time the Aggies scored over 104 points was in 2017 when they beat Savannah State 113-66.
