Some teams get hit at the right time and some slump. USC was and is still HOT, while we were hot in April and early May. Look what USC did to North Carolina. I think some of y'all don't know the first thing about baseball.

"on field altercation" with teammates that resulted in the staff deciding he should no longer be with the team. Must have been pretty good to boot your leading RBI and HR guy.

Sounds like a real good teammate. Hopefully he'll blow up LSU from the inside.

the facts are we had one of the top coaches(one game away from going to CWS 3 out of 5 years?) in college baseball defect on us and replaced him with a first time head coach. It will work or we'll waste 3 to 5 years around Childress level and look for another one. It was a gamble and it is what it is at this point. Was going to be almost impossible to upgrade or hire the same level. Have to hope Early turns out to be a stud.

Schloss wasn't here for 5 years, he was here for 3.

He made it to the CWS twice, but the other year was a road regional loss, not one game away.

I assumed it was too obvious too even point out the inaccuracies

I and everyone else is well aware he wasn't here 5 years. I was pointing to his last 5 years coaching which is why I said he is one game away from going 3 times in 5 years(he could still lose twice to Oregon). If that was confusing I apologize. I shouldn't have posted my thoughts anyway I realized this morning this is the transfer portal thread.

I wonder this as well. Bell played primarily at 3B for the Frogs this year. ...and while I'm not as in love with Partidas 3B defense as some on here are, I don't think he's moving off that spot. If Bell has a 3B arm it'd be a little odd to move him to 2nd (maybe less since teams shift 80% of the time now).

Okay, who could we have got in that moment? We went after the best possible option. The coach who actually won the natty… we tried again last year. The dollars they offered. They are committed to winning, but they aren't going to make a change without getting their guy. They aren't locking up someone for 5 years that ain't THE GUY…

I didn't think Partida was that good defensively either
