Should talk to the UCSB pitching coach. Dylan Jones. Young guy & also their recruiting coordinator. 2 years in a row they will have a top 5 pick in the draft. Obviously he can recruit pitchers and develop.

Frank Anderson at TN
Berry Staff at Southern Miss
Jim Gantt NC St
ERA has gone down 3 yrs in a row for these guys
Frank was not at UT this year. He's working for the Giants.
With the new technology and pitching lab, I would think we'd go younger, but who knows.
oh right a first year assistant LED the charge for Schloss to leave A&M. Come on guys, what would yall want Weiner to do he had no choice but to follow SchlossMister Mystery Guest said:
That's not exactly what happened. Weiner practically led the charge to Austin.
Sources: Former Cal State Fullerton All-American and current @Padres upper organization pitching coach Thomas Eshelman is headed to @TCU_Baseball as pitching coach, I’m told. He has been with the #Padres for the last four seasons. #TCU @Big12Conference pic.twitter.com/1dEltvFJFK

It's a good opportunity for anyone.
Literally no where to go but up on pitching performance. At an SEC school. New facilities on the way.
Resume builder whether it's one year and they move on (for one reason or another) or it all works and you are now established at TAMU.

The Southern Miss pitching turnaround is primarily driven by their head coach in my opinion (Christian Ostrander).
I don't think you're likely stealing a pitching coach from anyone from an established program (UCLA, GaTech, Auburn, texas, etc.).
So you're looking for an up and coming guy or an assistant that is all in on the analytics/lab stuff. That could be from MiLB or NCAA.

Whomever it is it probably needs to be soon. The pitching in the portal is thin and will be picked over quickly.

Weiner's name discussed on the Kelly thread…
FTR I do NOT want that traitorous ******** back. BUT, you absolutely have to float this rumor and try to get it to grow some legs this week leading up to and during the supers if you're the AD and Earley.
He is not traitorous. When your coach asks you to go with him to his new job, you go. Not even up for debate. If you don't, you end up with no job.

Yep. Hiring Weiner back would be a great get in my opinion.

I'm struggling with this scenario. On one hand I'd like to screw over schloss and the sips in any way possible. On the other hand, Weiner seems fine with the company he is keeping; which speaks to his character. I would feel better about it if he came here and it sent tu reeling and they cried publicly and he said something along the lines of "I had to get away from that toxic sob and that liberal cesspool"......one can dream
