At only 446', it's not a record, but my goodness, what a towering shot that was. It resembled a pop-up with its height, and came down at a very steep angle, landing on the Rec Center balcony, where it came to rest. I'm surprised there's been so little commentary about it, given the extreme distance it traveled (the complete arc, not the straight line distance). It was simply massive!

Yeah, you had to be there to appreciate the majesty of it. TV could not do it justice. Had it gone a mere 20' further, it mighta landed on the roof of the Rec Center, which I don't believe has ever happened. Just wondering if it's some kinda record.

I would not expect Gavin to be pondering such thoughts. That's just what mere mortals like us spend the waning moments doing while waiting to see if #25 throws the first pitch tonight.

It's the furthest hit ball I've seen down the line like that.

I'm going to try and enjoy his and Sorrell's last ABs at Olsen tonight regardless the outcome of the game. Can't say enough about those two and what they've done for our program these past three years
