I just don't know how you can pitch Sdao at this point.

If Earley starts Sdao, I hope he announces it in time for me to make a run for another bottle of bourbon.

I must have missed it, what happened to Cunningham?

He pitched decently last night. I expect to see him some tonight

Thanks. I'm embarrassed to say I tuned out before he got out there. Despite AggieBB's in depth analysis I would consider him an option for 1-3 innings. If he has command of his breaking ball, he can be effective. It's not like we have several shut down guys to choose from here. No matter what, the key to this game is likely going to be how much we get to their pitching.

what about Bond

sdao for 2 innings
bond 2 inning
darden- for the later part of a line up, limited relief
moss for an inning
freshcorn for 3 innings

Brauny:

LHP Hunter Bond got hit in the head by a batted ball during pregame yesterday (29th) He was a bit dazed and held out as a precaution. Brauny thought he was cleared yesterday but wasn't sure.

I'm in the camp of starting Freshcorn for a few reasons. And yes, I know it's not optimal.

1. He has moxy. He wants the ball.
2. We cannot afford to get behind early. Keep us in it for a few innings and let our bats come to life. Moves the pressure to their dugout.
3. Takes the anxiety off our other arms who have been rattled (minus Moss of course). They'll likely feel better coming in (hopefully with a lead) vs. starting. You can say forget yesterday but most of our pitchers don't seem emotionally strong enough to. From here we use everyone we have situationally and don't let anyone go through two rounds of their lineup.

We need to keep the ball down. Get ahead in counts. And battle the inner side of the plate. We don't do this enough.

We're gonna start Freshcorn, and he's gonna become a NCAA Regional legend a la Kyle Thebeau

Wasn't that wrong. If only our offense had shown up.
