Both their Friday and Saturday starters (Smith and Cooper) pitched last night, but neither of them started.

Cooper threw 55 pitches so I doubt we see him.

Texas State started messing with their rotation in April. Cooper and Smith moved out of the weekend rotation. Their starter yesterday, Markwardt, became their Friday starter. I think we might see Tovar tonight:

Looking like he's their most reliable arm. But he gives up decent ERs. He must throw a lot inside with the HP line. Cant be giving up free bases like that. Bear better wear some extra padding.

Lets hope our bats dont lay off his strikes and can make some movement in Aggie Alley.

Home team tonight will be Texas State since they were the visitor in their game yesterday and we were the home team in ours.

Lamar will be home versus USC.

If we and USC win today, Texas State would be home versus USC since they would both have a home and visitor game, so it reverts to the opposite of their previous matchup.

If USC beats state in the rematch, USC would be home versus us in the championship game. If Texas State beats USC, then we would be the home team against Texas State.

They started Cooper in the first game of their conference tournament, he pitched six innings and got the win.

Their pitching situation is probably at least as precarious as ours. Unless Sims can't pitch, then ours is worse. But I think/hope Sims is going to be good.

8pm Central still sucks.

And I'm just mad because I have to have my wife and daughter at Austin airport at 330am tomorrow, so staying up late to watch our game is going to make a very early wakeup.
