For the games on Saturday, do the Winning teams from Friday play first? Or the losers?

Thanks!

Usually, but remember Schlossbutt liked playing in the daytime/first.
I don’t get enough credit for the things I manage not to say.

To tie this in with the DST thread
Early June in Texas it will just barely be getting dark at game time

Earley is borrowing an old trick from Wayne Graham

choosing to play the early game on Friday

Most host teams are opting to play the early game on Friday.

Yep. The primary reason to play the second game is to ensure a sell out. We don't have that concern.

Yeah.... Not enough West Coast regionals this year I guess.

I saw on Twitter, Auburn's Associate AD said they wanted to play the night game but ESPN overruled them.

He said another Top 4 was affected similarly and ESPN is taking more control over schedules than they have in the past.

So... We can't assume that any school actually wanted the schedule they got.

I'll never complain about Olsen under the lights, the NCAA may be stupid about choosing what teams get to host and what teams get in, but at least they know a good night environment

No problem with a night game, lol. Just a problem with a late night game.

Wow. The option of which game a team wants to play the first day of regionals IMO one of the advantages of hosting (want to play before a big crowd at night or do the extra rest of playing the first game) and should not be over ruled for TV. With 32 games to choose from through out the day, one would think there would be enough compelling match ups through out the day to fill the various TV slots.

8:00 PM late? You must be getting old.

If a game ends after 10:00 pm, then it is late. Yes, I'm old.

Why would would the College Station Regional game times be listed in EDT on an Aggie site?

Maybe you'll believe Warren Nolan.

What about our pitching strategy?

Do we pitch Sims in Game 1 or hold him for supposedly tougher opponent in Game 2?

This is the year you take a risk and dont pitch your ace in game 1. We need Sims for the real competition - if Darden/Weston/Sdao can't get through Lamar, then it is what it is.

I have a sinking feeling Sims won't be able to go this weekend. Absolutely no insider info, it just feels like the way they've been stringing this out over the past few weeks is not going to turn out well.

Yes, the bracket image posted on this thread that the poster was responding to clearly says the night games at 9 eastern.

OK we're talking past each other. Misunderstood your post. We both agree game times are 8:00 PM CDT.

We've been pitching Sims Game 2/3 all year and I see no reason to change now.
