Why shouldn't we move him in as a starter and Darden to the pen. Darden may be a gem in a 1-3 batter outing. Fresh has gone 4 at times and looked decent.

He's not built for that (not your prototype starting pitcher). It's also a different mindset as a starter who should have expectations to go 5-6-7 innings, arm strength to throw 100+ pitches and the patience to take some bad innings and grind them out.
As a quick fix to what is a bad pitching staff, it's probably too late to move around arguably the only bright spot in your pen.

I could see us using him as a starter or very early in a game if we have to come through the losers bracket in our regional
He has the ability to impact two games coming out of the pen.
Don't mess with the one thing working in the bullpen.

Freshcorn in relief allows the Ags to use him two or three times a weekend depending on how much length you get out of the rest of the pen.
Now maybe next year I could see the move if we have a pitcher that can move into the closers role.

He has done so well this year
I don’t get enough credit for the things I manage not to say.
I like him in multiple games to get us innings in 2 games.
I call it the Aschenbeck role. Must pitch twice in a weekend for 5-6 innings total. Very valuable

It only makes sense in the "If needed" game if he didn't pitch in the first one
