Which Regional Matchup Do you want?

We have joked about being auto-paired against the sips, but really with the vulnerabilities they have, who would you rather have?

HARD NO THANK YOUS:
UNC
GT
UCLA
GEORGIA
AUBURN
UF (they have clear vulnerabilities, but are hot and beating them again at their place would be a big ask - but if the option was one of these top 6, they are who I would take)

I believe that leaves the possibility of the sips, southern miss, FSU, or Alabama as the likely opponents? I'd take any of them, and at least Austin would be easy to get a few of our fans to!

Can't wait to hear the first five responses of "doesn't matter who were match up against, we're doomed".

If I was a betting person I would bet on one place in particular no matter how much they have to scramble the seeding just to make it happen.

I think I would choose Auburn. I would like to see if Alvarez could get double digit Ks for a 3rd time. Especially against 3 first round picks.

Regional or Super? I don't think we are pairing up with anyone of that caliber in our regional

I'd say give me a team like Florida, Southern Miss, or an ACC squad not named GT.

Less concerned at this point about a super regional matchup. Just hoping that the baseball team doesn't flame out of its own regional like the softball team. Neither team had reliable pitching and both teams have seen their offenses inexplicably disappear at times.

Currently, I'm more concerned with who the #2 is in the region we are going to host. Given our lack of front line pitching and bullpen depth, it is nearly a miracle that we ended the regular season 3rd in the SEC. CWS this year is a fantasy.

I hope they have already put feelers out looking for transfers to fill our most glaring holes on the mound and guys that can help take away some of the HUGE losses we're going to suffer in the field and at the plate (Grahovac, Sorrell, Haco, Harrison).

Last time we were paired with UNC, it worked out for us. Davidson won that regional, then we hosted a super and went to Omaha.

Only way I think they could do it and not catch as much flak is 7 vs 10 matchup

But I don't think they will. Texas will be either the 4/5 seed and we will be the 9/10

I don't think anyone on.any committee gives a rats ass about us in any sport. I'm more worried about our regional and getting to the super.

I like that matchup. I think they are a bit overrated and could be susceptible to an upset which allows us to host a super

That might best overall case scenario for us. Part of me even thinks it would be better to visit bama as the 10 seed then to host Florida as the 8 seed.
