Think GG having a little more thump in his bat would put him in the 3 hole but I would absolutely entertain swapping GG & Sorrell 2-3 as well

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Ss Hacopian
RF Sorrell
1B Grahovac
LF duer
CF Kiel
DH Jordan
C Bear
3b partida
2b Royo

Hacopian gets the nod over Grahovac in lead off bc higher on base%.

I think we have to strikeout less this year, get on base, therefore duer and Jordan are in the lineup. These are proven guys who did not transfer here to sit.

I think u gotta push the higher strikeout guys like bear and Royo down in the order.

Royo was great defensively which has also got to improve so he's in the lineup.

Partida sounds like he might be really good even as a freshman but don't want to put too much pressure on him so slide him down in the order.

It starts w the SS question to me. If Hacopian can't handle it, who's next? Royo? Partida? Keller?

Defense has got to be better.

I think we'll see improvement with our infield D with Pennington on board. If Haco struggles, I can see maybe moving Royo to SS, possibly Partida or Kellner if either of them are doing well at the plate. With our pitching, we're going to have to have our best bats in the lineup, even if it means we sacrifice some defensively. I hope I'm wrong with that, but pitching is a major concern of mine.

Why do so many people think Kiel will bat at the bottom of the lineup? Wasn't he leadoff in most of our games last year?

It's most likely that Earley will have his 3 All-American, 1st round pick candidates to bat 1-3. The way the game is played these days, the 9-hole isn't your worst bat anymore, it's a 2nd leadoff hitter instead. TK batting around 300 and getting on base for Grahovac, Sorrell, and Hacopian to bring home(which is a lot easier when you run like TK) will make the offense hum.

6. Bear
7. Wilson/ Chesnutt
8. Royo

His OBP was below .400 and OPS was below .800. That will have to significantly improve for him to bat in the top 2/3 of this order. Hacopian was >.500 OBP and >1.100 OPS. Sorrell was >.400 and >1.100. In 2024 Grahovac was .390 and .986. You can't give up at bats for those guys so that Kiel gets more at bats.

I find it amusing that everyone forgot about Sawyer Farr when picking guys to play over Royo. Everyone wants the instant impact freshman and seem to write off the ones that fail to be that. Anyways back on topic:

1-Hacopian R (2B)
2-Sorrell L (CF)
3-Grahovac R (1B)
4-Bear R (C)
5-Duer L (DH)
6-Royo R (SS)
7-Partida R (3B)
8-Wilson L (LF)
9-TK R (RF)

I wasn't going to include Wilson, but we have so many righties I think we ought to give him a shot. If it doesn't work then put Duer in LF and rotate through guys at DH till you find one. Let me live in denial about the error machine not starting at SS until it actually happens.

Couple of things I'm hoping to see:

-Binderup be legitimately useful as a hitter. I think it'd be awesome if he cracks the starting 9 again, but is actually good this time.

-Sorrell playing at a golden spikes level.

-Partida be a legit 2 way player.

-Hacopian not being an error machine.

Just hope this season isn't as miserable as the last because damn I am excited to watch some baseball again.

For what it's worth, none of the 10 people who ventured a guess were correct.
