Well, that answered that question. Figured I'd make a separate post about it. I see no real downside for the Vols whatsoever given the circumstances. Dude is a hell of a coach and recruiter and the players love him. (oh no....this seems familiar...)

That being said, I don't expect any appreciable drop in Vols performance overall IF they keep the rest of the gang together. Next week is going to be very interesting as he shakes out the rest of the staff and the players settle in with the news and make some decisions.

I think Earley tried to be the opposite of Schloss in year 1, in part because of the way Schloss left. Namely the approach at the plate was night and day and it really hurt us.

I think Elander will try to keep things as close to the same as possible, and they'll be fine.

His personality/style will be much different than Tony, but Elander did run the offense so I expect very little change there.

I'm somewhat surprised that they let him go after school started, because he's got to be under contract. I guess O'Sullivan's return must be certain.

I mean, he initially said he would be back at the end of fall, so I kinda thought it was wierd they even announced it.

might be reading a little into that. Elander and Jeroloman know each other from TCU. he was a volunteer assistant coach

Especially as the current interim HC.

The vibes are not good in Gainesville.
