With the first edition of Seed Watch posted, let's start using our sheer force of will to bring down all of our enemies.
- This viewing guide is for the games that matter and games that might somehow impact us, but if there's games that aren't particularly big or that we don't care about, they're not on here
- The goal we're trying to achieve here is to soften the bubble in case we start to slide there, so in my opinion, right now, if a team ahead of us is playing a team behind us, we're for the team ahead of us in most cases because I don't think we have much of a chance to really jump up the seed line beyond maybe a 7. If we upset Vandy or something and then win a couple more games I might change my mind on that, but for now, if say a projected 5 is playing a projected 9, we're for the 5.
Friday - February 13 (Current seed watch projected seed); team we're for in bold
(4) Michigan State at (8) Wisconsin - 7 pm - FOX
(7) St. Louis at Loyola Chicago - 7:30 pm - ESPN2
Ohio at (?) Miami of Ohio - 8:00 - ESPN - I think basically any loss moves Miami of Ohio into "have to win the MAC tournament" mode
Saturday - February 14
(6) Clemson at (1) Duke - 11 AM - ESPN
(B+1) TCU at (I guess theoretically on the bubble...) Oklahoma State - 11 AM - ESPN2
(10) UCLA at (1) Michigan - 11:45 AM - CBS
(3) Kansas at (2) Iowa State - 12 PM - ABC
(6) St. John's at Providence - 12 PM - TNT/TruTV
Pitt at (6) North Carolina - 1 PM - ESPN
Florida State at (B+2) Virginia Tech - 1 PM - ACC Network
(9) SMU at Syracuse - 1 PM - CW
(9) Villanova at Creighton - 1:30 PM - FOX
(7) Kentucky at (3) Florida - 2 PM - ABC - There's a couple of layers here where you could kind of argue this one both ways, but I think in most timelines of the multiverse it's better for Florida to win.
(9) Georgia at Oklahoma - 2:30 PM - SEC Network - Torvik's rooting guide has this one as the second most important game for us this weekend behind ours by a WIDE margin. But it also has the next most important one as Stanford vs Wake Forest and I can't really figure out that one.
Colorado at (7) BYU - 3 PM - FS1
(5) Louisville at Baylor - 3 PM - ESPN - Random non-con game!
(10 ) Miami at (8) NC State - 3 PM - ESPN2 - Choose your own adventure here depending on how you think we're going to do these next few weeks
(2) Purdue at (6) Iowa - 4 PM - FOX
West Virginia at UCF - 5 PM - FS1
LSU at (4) Tennessee - 5 PM - SECN
(5) Texas Tech at (1) Arizona - 5:30 PM - ESPN
(4) Virginia at (11) Ohio State - 7 PM - FOX
Memphis at (8) Utah State - 7 PM - CBSSN
(8) Auburn at (5) Arkansas - 7:30 PM - ESPN - Slight edge to Arkansas here since we still play them
(10) Texas at (11) Missouri - 7:30 PM - ESPN2 - Edge to Texas since we play them twice
Nevada at (11) San Diego State - 9 PM - CBSSN
(3) Gonzaga at (11) Santa Clara - 9:30 PM - ESPN
(10) St. Mary's at Pacific - 9:30 PM - ESPN2
Sunday, February 15
(9) Indiana at (2) Illinois - 12 PM - CBS
