This is not at all surprising after I saw this postgame meltdown the other day. He might be legit crazy.

lol, I'm sure that's gonna hold up, but they don't really need it to I guess, they'll come up with something they can agree on. I've always assumed most of these settled buyouts just end up changing the length of time the schools pay them out.

That's not only thin, its total BS.

Out of thousands of coaches' post-game press conferences each season, no less than 150 sound EXACTLY like his did.

This not only a breach on K-State's part, but could be a bad faith breach depending on Kansas law. I haven't read the language in the contract, but I'd bet serious money that a coach calling out his own players for BASKETBALL actions (or inactions) is NOWHERE NEAR what the language suggests. AT THE VERY LEAST, it would have to be something about the players that would need to remain private (injuries, academics, personal, etc.) and more likely about other individuals in the university -- fans, admin, etc.

Sort of like the Bobby Knight incident that got him fired at Indiana, without the arm grab.

Kstate handled this very poorly. He's still going to get the money.

Athletics director Gene Taylor confirmed to The Mercury Monday that when he met with Tang Sunday morning, he offered Tang a choice: coach the rest of the season and then resign, or else be terminated immediately for cause. If Tang chose the former, there would be some kind of financial package offered to him in lieu of a buyout, at an undetermined amount that would be substantially less than the full buyout.

This torpedos their contract claim. If he violated the contract, thus creating a "for cause" situation, why would they offer him a chance to finish out the season?

Assuming this write up is accurate, there is nothing here that Tang violated. In fact, its even worse than what I originally thought. If KState attempts to claim immunity from liability, they may never hire another coach again.

Hubert feels like a Matt Doherty situation but there's not a Roy Williams level guy that UNC would be fired up to get.

NC State with the biggest win margin against NC since '62 - 24 points. I don't think Hubert is the HC next year.
