Attendance was 7,517 according to the live stats website. Sounded great on TV for a home opener. Those that showed up really brought the energy.

I bet there's 7-8 K which would be fine, but what matters is the experience.
These kind of games SUCKED under Buzz. Not only was our style of play not particularly exciting but the entire arena vibe was just bleh.
Excited to see if they've changed it up any or if the style of play alone makes it more fun, but I'm hoping the juice is back in the place this year.
Why are chants or yells not happening on offense anymore? I noticed this stopping last year. It's wack. Make up a song, yell Texas Aggies (clap 5x), something

I checked , It was a Friday night but football was away at Mizzou on Saturday. As you say, excitement on ticket sales following a S16 year makes sense.
7500+ not bad for a Monday night home opener I suppose . I expected more but not terrible .

Yeah, I just thought Buckyball excitement might draw a bit more interest but the truth is wer'e a "show me first " hoops crowd. My expectations were maybe a bit high for a Monday night.

When I was there from 2011-2015, marketing for basketball games was TERRIBLE. It consisted of a little yard sale-esque sign and hopefully you saw it when you walked by.
I heard the volleyball girls were going out and playing volleyball with students in between classes. Maybe the basketball guys can get a portable hoop and roll it around. Have a three point contest outside the MSC. Surely we can gather up 4K more students to fill Reed.

I haven't been to a basketball game in about six or seven years and I'll be there!
