We are burying my 97 year old grandmother on Sunday near College Station in a small graveside service. I'd like to take them all to dinner in CSTAT. I know it's kind of hard to get a table for 30. Does anyone have any suggestions for a restaurant that has a private room or a side room that could seat 30 people? And I can't afford the Republic steakhouse for 30. LOL. Thanks for any suggestions.

Christopher's can do that but it's going to cost like the Republic.

If you was lower cost, C&J BBQ on Wm Joel Bryan has 2 separate breakout rooms. The small one handles 30 and the big one up to 60.

If you want salty BBQ, Coopers has rooms.

C&J BBQ should be able to do it. The Bryan location has a private room that should be able to hold everyone.

I would call and talk to them and let them know your situation. They have been great over the years and have been able to accommodate even at the last minute.

If one person is paying for everybody also let them know it makes things a lot easier on them and makes it easier for them to make accommodations.

I called one day and asked if a group of 25 could show up in 30 minutes, not even expecting the private room. I asked if that would kill their service and they said not at all. When I said one person will be paying for it all. I would be the last person in line and just pay. Their response was offering the private room because I made their job a little bit easier.

Seeing the circumstances I'm making the assumption that everyone being together is the most important thing versus what's the best restaurant in BCS.

In downtown Bryan. The Longhorn Steakhouse has a private room that size. Moderate Price.

We did our rehearsal dinner up there and it worked very well.


...and the food isn't expensive, so that's a nice bonus.
