Scrolled onto a video of a lady with a think south Louisiana accent the other day. She was making some basic chicken thigh for a meal/leftovers for the week. She put some oil in her instant pot and then layered boneless skinless thighs, Cajun seasoning blend, and Zydeco Chop Chop, topped with some stock for moisture.

I hadn't seen this product but found it online and ordered a jar. It's a dehydrated blend of everything fresh you'd put in any Cajun dish. I haven't tried it yet but has anybody used it?

I used something similar from HEB. Was a big fan as a complement to base trinity not a sub. Haven't seen it in a while though.

I bought this after seeing the thread. Finally decided to give it a try and see if I could shortcut red beans and rice into something edible. Turned out far better than expected. I'm not much on shortcuts, but this is something I'd make again. They weren't all day beans with a ham bone and time, but they were definitely better than Papadeaux

I hydrated as directed. Sautee sausage in the pot until it started to brown and render some fat. Cooked the veggies with the sausage for a few then dumped everything in with about 2c water. Simmered for about 20 while the rice cooked and everything was ready.

Pleased to see you try it. I use it occasionally because i don't know any better and I don't want to mess with the fresh stuff especially if its in a big bean pot cook anyway.
