Most of the countertops mocked up. Need to attach them. Gonna have to stain the legs. Couldn't find same wood in style I wanted and just oiling didn't give the matching color.

Used brass threaded insert nuts in to the countertop to attach the legs. Pretty stout.
Mocked up bathroom counters and the other cabinet area. Headed offshore this afternoon so will have to finish next time off.
Kids had a slumber party up there for the middle daughters bday I er the weekend so we are already able to enjoy it. Got the toilet installed a few days back so they were able to use it.
Was supposed to have 3 days to knock out the bathroom but turns out wife got friends arrival date wrong so guess they don't get a bathroom sink cause no way I am finishing tomorrow. Done for the day because I'm not mixing any more grout at 1900.

Knocked most of the vanity area out. Just threw the bottom shelf in for the photo. Probably going to work in the next day or two so the sink and faucet will have to wait.
Man I mixed boxes and just realized a ton of lighter ones ended up together. Oh well, can't change it now.

Faucet is installed but didn't have time to do the sink fully before I headed offshore. Faucet lines had the fixed ends on them but after I installed I realized it came with additional inserts to trim the lines so I will rotate the valves and make the supply lines vertical. I like how it is turning out. P trap will also be black.
So I realized after the fact I should have raised the drain in the bathroom significantly because the drain tube is extremely long. Oh well, don't know things you don't know when doing something like this for the first time.
Got kitchen sink and faucet mocked up today. Now off to my kids soccer game.

Getting there on the shower. Underestimated amount of tile needed and I ran out. Closest is 65 miles away. Dammit.
Shower mostly done, just need to put in the rest of the liner around the niche and then grout. It has taken me a lot longer than I thought it would to do this. My only tile experience in the past was a backsplash and an entry way.

You could also do a Murphy bed in a low cabinet in the nook, right under the ax unit. You could probably fit a queen bed there.

I've been putting poly on the counters and got 4 coats on and installed and plumbed the kitchen sink and faucet today so that's good.
Wife constantly throwing wrenches in the gears though because she's basically made it a fully habitable apartment and constantly has guests over so the whole timeline of completion keeps getting extended.

Remember when I said my wife jam packs it full of crap so people can stay there and make it so much harder for me to work? There's been people staying in it basically the entire time I've been offshore this month.

It's a great spot. Glad y'all are able to put it to use and have a place for guests. That's the only thing we're missing in our current place and the only reason we'd ever leave.Sea Speed said:

Silicone next. I'll never do another double niche like that.
I would rather dig post holes by hand than do any caulk work.
Considering I have only done a small tile entry way and a kitchen backsplash before this i am pretty happy.
Little bit of grout buildup i need to get off from here and there but essentially done. Will have custom glass installed at some point down the line but for now it will get a shower curtain. Lean times!
We are out in SETX now so that won't work but I appreciate it. I doubt they would come out here and measure.
