bought one - looking forward to checking this out. I had an injury a few years ago from hitting too much off a mat in the winter. I imagine this will help prevent that.

I can't wait to get one, living in Minnesota means 5+ months of mats so maybe I'll help grow some sales up north

Me too....the video and component explanation have me lost. I see the disc, tether and golf ball. Is there a video demonstration of the product working?

More background: at my club, we have to hit off artificial turf that is thin. Move to grass directly in front for anything teed up.

So the tool just props the ball up to the equivalent to if it was sitting on grass?

Looks great. I may order one. Not going to lie though (pardon the pun), that website is very confusing in describing what it actually is. It looks like you might be selling a mat or a ball on a string when you see the photos and description. I'd recommend a series of pics showing the item by itself, then set with a ball on it, more written commentary around that, and a clear link that demonstrates it in use - all front and center on the landing/home page

This. Very confusing to me as to what this thing actually is.

It feels like one of those situations where this guy has lived and breathed creating this product for long enough that sometimes it's hard to step back and go "ok, now what is the best way to explain this thing to someone who knows absolutely nothing about it".

Thanks for all the feedback guys…
I keep forgetting… Nobody under 50 likes to read…

TLDR… LOL !!

Our website is pretty in-depth as to what The Perfect Divot is, and how it works…

Let me help you out - without making a crass comment about "the younger generations"…

The Perfect Divot is a small, imperceptible disc that elevates the bottom apex of the golf ball 3/32" off the mat… That 3/32" is the "grass blade gap" secret sauce that enables you to hit down and through the ball, without the mat grabbing or bouncing your club and without shocking your elbows, wrists, hands, and other joints.

Less than 3/32" and you can't hit down and through. Higher than 3/32" and the ball looks and feels like it's on a tee.

As the video shows, you set TPD down on the mat, place the ball on the 3/32" disc and hit it.

As the video demonstrates, the larger counterweight keeps the disc from flying off onto the range.

Rinse and repeat.

The good news is… It works…

Again… Directly from the website…

The Perfect Divot Components:
The Patent Pending design of The Perfect Divot consists of a 1/2" C-Shaped Disc that holds the bottom apex of your golf ball 3/32" off the golf mat.

The disc is made of silicone and is virtually indestructible with normal use.

The disc is connected to a super-thin, nylon-wrapped, steel cable (again, indestructible) that is tethered to an appropriate counter-weight.

You simply set the counter-weight to the side, place your golf ball on The Perfect Divot disc and…

SWING !!!

Your ball will sail down the range and feel like a shot on real grass…

The disc will fly - just like a grass divot - with the counter-weight keeping it within a foot of your original ball placement…

You simply place a new ball on the disc and "rinse and repeat" !!

Again…

No Mat Grab / Bounce

No Mat Shock

The only pic of your product is this. It looks like a ball on a string. Every still shot of the product on the site has a ball on it leading to that confusion - it apparently requires watching a video (as long you don't pick the fat guy video which is linked most prominently multiple times and shows nothing). And it's on a mat where you have how bad mats suck plastered everywhere. As far as reading, there is actually very little to read on the landing page other than how bad mats suck. You click "learn more" near the top and it's the fat guy vaguely talking about the benefits of the product but not showing the product at all. And he's in front of dirt and grass.

Not trying to be an ass, but given the quick agreement of my comments above, you may wanna revisit this thing. It will help you sell more - that's all I'm trying to do. And I'm 51 btw

OMG !!

If that's the only picture you're seeing on the website, then whatever platform you're using to view the website is very problematic…

What browser are you using ??

The site has a ton of pics and videos of The Divot in action.. How you set it up, how you place the ball on it, etc…

You can also see detailed descriptions of the science behind it (Nerd Alert !!) and why it works…

Let me know what browser (mobile or desktop)…

Both mobile and laptop. There is one video that demonstrate it, but watch it with "I've never seen this product" eyes. It never shows the ring the ball sits on. You see wire when he takes it out (ring is below screen), then the dude has apparently already put the ball on it when it cuts to the next shot. Just putting a pic clearly showing the ring without the ball (then one with) on the landing page would go a long way to clarifying what this is. Even the shopping cart pic has a ball on it.

Feel free to ignore all of this, I just posted something several folks very quickly agreed with

Feel free to call me at the 800# on the site and I'll see if I can ID the problem you seem to be having viewing the entire site…

We've sold over 60 units in the past week to other Ags from this posting (THANKS !!), and I haven't had anyone say they haven't been able to view all the site content…

Call me and I'll help..

Thanks for continuing to work through the issues you're having.

If possible, take a moment to read some of the pages on the site. It's pretty detailed.

I copied the Components Page verbatim a couple of posts up..

I'm sorry you're having a problem conceptualizing the product. The website has a video of the product from set-up through "launch", multiple pics, written detailed descriptions, etc…

Let me know if you're still having issues figuring this thing out.

Again, thanks for your interest. Gig 'Em….

The Perfect Divot doesn't really affect your spin rates…

We've had the instructors at The PGA Coaching Center "track" it…

The data off the mats (with TPD) was virtual identical to grass… Which was incredibly encouraging…

Danny isn't wrong.

I went through every page of your website and the only thing that tells me what the components of your product actually are was by reading the text on "what are the components". Even both photos there show a ball on the ring hiding it. Nothing shows just the product parts and explaining them.

https://www.golfmatssuck.com/pages/what-are-the-components

There's a certain number of people that are going to feel as if you are hiding what the product actually is as you never show it and explain it without a ball in the way (sitting on top). Perceptions is king, so addressing this could really help you. It's the same in the videos. One hitting off grass, one hitting directly off a mat, none showing just your product, putting a ball on it, and hitting off it in slow motion like the others.

You know what the product is too well so you fail to realize no one else does and that you aren't communicating it effectively.

So you hit off the disc or is that a weight to hold it somewhat in place.?
Pahdz
How long do you want to ignore this user?
The weighted disc keeps the washer you hit off from flying away too far and unfindable.

It's not hard to figure out what this is if you read even though it's not showing. I also remember the OP's original thread earlier this year when they were developing this, basically explained what it was.

I guess it was unreasonable to ask to actually see what I'm supposed to put the ball on. I need to call a 1-800 number
