Texas A&M begins play with 36 holes Sunday to open the tournament with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, followed by the final 18 Monday. Sunday's coverage begins at 8 a.m. and Monday at 1 p.m. Live stats can be followed at:

Was very windy out there this morning. Score's reflected that.

Playing and scoring better this afternoon.

It is fun to watch our girls play.

Yea, most of the teams and players had trouble in that first round but many of them came back really well in the second round.

As a team we are in 2nd place at -2, 7 strokes behind Florida State's -9. We shot a +6 in the first round and a -8 in the second round - quite a difference!

Vanessa (SO) is tied for 2nd overall at -6, one stroke off the lead. She shot -3 and -3 on the day. Cayetana (JR) is at T10 and Sky (JR, IND) is at T15.

Yesterday Brynn (FR) had the did not count score (with a -2 today) and today it was Louise (JR, transfer). Tomorrow might be someone else.

The ladies will have a great round tomorrow, I am sure of it !!

It was fun to get out and watch the ladies compete today. Hopefully they can catch FSU tomorrow. This course is very difficult to walk but thankfully the team got to ride. Good luck tomorrow ladies. Gig'em

At first glance the headline is deceptive but after the first few words it actually says Vanessa leads Aggie golfers and is not the overall leader.

Regardless, action starts again at 8:30 this morning. They will be in foursomes.

Awesome job.

What a comeback! Off the team lead by 7 strokes at the beginning of the round but our ladies shot a combined -13 on the day, best score of the day, to get the win! They finished with an overall -15.

That makes 3 tournament wins this Fall. A Freshman, a Sophomore and two Juniors combined for the great score on the day. They sure made up for the +6 on the first round!

Individually, Vanessa finished at T3, Cayetana at T5 and Sky at T20 to lead the pack.

Great job, ladies !!!

It will get a lot harder when we start competing with multiple Top 10 teams but it is great experience for them, especially the younger players.

And, we graduate only two players this year, Mia and Kynadie, so next year looks great, too.

Scarlett Schremmer, the No. 2 recruit in the Class of 2025, is no longer with the Texas A&M women's golf program. Aggies coach Gerrod Chadwell confirmed Schremmer's departure with Golfweek.

Sorry to hear the news. I have read that she broke two commitments before she signed with A&M. With Miami and tu, I believe it was. The latter was due to a couple of coaching changes. Reason for leaving could be one of many things but I just read that she told coach she might be in Aggieland for only 1-2 years because she wants to play professionally. Perhaps she simply accelerated that a wee bit. Or perhaps she wanted to play in every tournament but has not done so because her teammates did better in qualifying. No idea and we will probably never know.

However, the team has shown that they can win without her. Her talent will be missed but it is not a devastating loss.

How is Mia Nixon doing? I know she played a lot last year towards the end.

I did not think Mia has played this Fall so checked and she has not. I DID make an error saying she would graduate this year - she redshirted her Freshman year so she 'should' have two seasons left !!

She was the #1 golfer in Texas her Senior year in HS and won the state title three times so she definitely has talent. There is only one tournament left this Fall (Oct 28) so we will have to wait to next Spring to see if she gets some playing time.
