Anyone played Northgate recently? I am going to be in Houston over Christmas and want to get a round in that Saturday morning with my dad. My home club has to one of those networks of private clubs and its the only ones in Houston are Northgate and Sugar Creek. Sugar Creek is $160 so I'm not paying that, but Northgate is $100.

If its ho-hum I'll just save the money and slum it around Herman with him since thats closer to the house, but thought I'd check.

NG is redoing the sprinkler system. I played yesterday and holes 10 and 11 were closed. I understand they will close a hole or two at a time as they work around the course over the next month. The condition was okay on the 16 I played for this time of year. Memorial is open and overseeded for the PGA Tour in a few months so it is super green. I haven't played lately but I chipped and putted on the practice green and it was awesome.

We raised our family in the 1960 area and lived in Northgate mid 80's. Club, tennis and golf course were great. Many members. Sorry to see the demographics have changed the entire area. Floods were most damaging.
