The SEC has choked itself out. Enjoy the lot you've cast for yourself.

Texas will start next season ranked higher than Tech, and finish ranked lower. Same as this year.

The SEC made this mess. Now wallow in it.

Tech proved a team's "ranking" doesn't mean *****

Yeah it does. Early season ranking bias is a thing. And rankings late in the season affects CFP seeding.

The bye hurt every team in the last two seasons except Indiana, but it's still always better to be ranked higher.

Ask Texas and Notre Dame about it.

And how'd that "ranking" work out for ya?

It got us into the CFP for the first time with a first round bye. How did it work out for you?

It just proved how wrong the committee can be.

5 SEC teams in the playoffs and one from the Big 12. Tech was immediately trounced in a game that was never competitive. On the SEC side that can only be said of Bama against Indiana and the Hoosiers are killing everyone this season. The two teams that eliminated the SEC are in the National Championship, but Oregon isn't. It kinda of looks like the SEC had a better year than any schools not named Indiana or Miami.

It's surprising that the 1st round of the NFL mock draft has very few SEC players, maybe only 4-5. That used to be the number of SEC players picked in the first 5-6 picks.

I do think Saban made the SEC the best conference in the nation. Trying to beat him made everybody better. I think Kirby Smart isn't far behind but doesn't command the same level of excellence.

Can't really asses based on mock drafts.

As for Saban, he was about as dominant a head coach as we're likely to see. With him gone, the SEC has taken a step back to the pack.

The best season in Tech history and yet here they are begging for approval from Mom (tu) and Dad (A&M).

There is too much DEI in the sport (preferential treatment for non-SEC teams and conferences) to say that this is the end of "SEC dominance".

They could kill the golden goose with enough poison, but they haven't managed it yet.

Saban was a hell of a coach. One of the best ever. But let's not skip past the fact that he bailed just as NIL got started. If he hadn't, it definitely would have tarnished his winning legacy.

We should have been there, you shouldn't have. Miami would have beaten tech by 100 and we would have decimated Oregon.

you're overly emotional with an inferiority complex that just won't let you think logically. Do you understand that if you played the schedule Texas and Texas A&M played and faced the SEC defenses + Ohio State or Notre Dame, your record would have been different? And you wouldn't have made the playoffs? do you get even that?

Wouldn't have made the playoffs? You mean like Texas?

Maybe. I don't know. You don't either.

More importantly - I don't care. Tech is playing the hand that Tech was dealt. It resulted in a higher finish than Texas or OU, who were too good for the Big 12.

I have discovered that SEC teams are the very best in the world in hypothetical matchups… Which won the SEC a 1-8 record and no teams in the final with five teams in the mix. So YAY for hypothetical championships!

Tech will be ranked in the top 10 at the end of the season by every single measure that matters, placed there by AP and Coaches Poll voters and the CFP. You can talk that down all you like, only their opinions matter more than yours.

Getting in the game matters and the game is the CFP. Tech got there. Didn't end as I'd hoped, but oh well. Trending up. Try again next year.

As a Tech fan, I can say with confidence that Tech is being discussed on the national stage, and I think that's pretty cool. We haven't really had that before. Tech has about 5 years I would guess to land in whatever conference and division arrangement comes next. Tech is doing the things it needs to do to be relevant in that discussion.

i get that you don't like it, but that's on you, buttercup.

I posted the article above without comment. I just shared it. It wasn't my panties that got all bunched up over it. Maybe I'm not the over-sensitive one? Hmmm?

tt is a joke like the Big XII. Looking at TV ratings, no team in the Big XII made the top 25 of TV ratings.

What is pathetic is that Colorado was watched more than you at 31.

Seven out of the top 10 were SEC teams with Michigan, Ohio State, and ND rounding out the top 10.
