For me it would probably be the 1991 t.u. game. To start the season A&M was thought to be in a rebuilding year after losing several key starters like Coryatt, Wheeler, and Darren Lewis. Turned out our replacements were plenty good enough to mow down the tepid SWC. Then on a breezy late November night, Marcus Buckley jumped a Gardere pass to the flat and sprinted to the endzone! Cotton balls erupted from the Kyle Field stands into the windy night sky.
Houston came to Lubbock ranked #5 in the nation, but Tech sent them home with the loss after a game-winning 2-point conversion pass from Ron Reeves to James Hadnot gave the good guys a 22-21 victory.
Odd that you should ask this particular question on this particular day. Because on this exact day, October 7, exactly 30 years ago, I was in the stands as this bit of joy unfolded.

Holy hell this all makes so much sense now. Old af. Nothing else going on. Living in the past.

To be fair, I was a little kid, but the "old af" still stands.

Looks like Petrino spent all his money on offense. I looked at the(rushing) stats on your game fairly late in 2nd half and the hogs were averaging 10 yards a run. literally.

Yeah, we were getting gashed. Kinda reminded me of playing Auburn under Malzahn. I've been worried about every P4 game we've played this year and I don't see that changing. Arky has a top 5 offense in CFB and prior to y'all coming to the conference we've been the piggie's Super Bowl so I was not at all surprised to see us struggle.
It was much easier for them to get amped up for us than vice versa. Love that we've gone 13-1 against them since joining the SEC. They had put it on us three years straight while we were in the Big12. Our all-time record against pig was 24-41-3 when we joined the SEC. Now it's 37-42-3. If this trend continues, we'll own them in less than a decade. It's eating them alive as they view A&M as the same school they faced in their 1964 MNC season. They seem to want to go back to 1964 in sports and 1854 in life.
As for your game vs. UK, Mark Stoops is an absolute moron. He was our head coach for about 8 hours or so in 2023. TexAgs rose up and went Gandalf at Khazad Dum on his arse (nerd alert). I was having dinner with my golfin buddy who's a Longhorn fan (even though he went to Rice), and the game was on every screen at Cover3. He told me UT was going to lose and I said, "You obviously don't know much about Mark Stoops".

It figures some of you would claim victory in the biggest screw job of that decade. These are the two most egregious of several incompetent ...or purposeful...travesties in that game. If the Cavasos fumble is called correctly, like most children can do, we are taking a knee instead of throwing high risk passes with 2 minutes left.
2:38:05 Sone Cavasos fumbles, ruled down while standing vertical. Aggie scoop and score negated. Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder object for giving blind people a bad name. Even the TV announcers join in the dumbassery, not knowing the defense CAN advance fumbles in college ball since 1992.
First Zebby Lethridge fumble. Real time and especially replay shows he's nowhere close to being down, A&M recovers the ball on the Tech 32....negated
1:25:35 Further evidence of the officials' screw job.....err, I mean "incompetence", we have this alleged punt catch interference: The Tech punt returner makes the fair catch ending the play, drops the ball to the ground, and has already taken several steps toward getting off the field when the flag comes flying into the picture from the neighboring county.

The 1989 game was almost as bad.
Someone the other day (maybe it was my kids) said "it would be kind of cool to have the old Southwest Conference back. I said "no, no it really wouldn't." Stuff like this is one of the reasons why. And I'm not just point this at Tceh. A lot of this went on other places too. We got hosed by and Arkansas graduate ref at one point too.
