Part or most of it may be or even probably is true.

But the aborted part doesn't meet the smell test. I don't know anyone who would go to the trouble to meet with their kid and then tell them that, especially a guy with lots of stuff going on and whose kid makes his living posting stories on the internet. If they want nothing to do with their child, they're just going to ignore him, unless the kid has been badgering him about this for months or years and this is the way to end the badgering.

Either way the story is f'd up regardless of what the truth is.

This is probably it. Ketch probably wanted to try to have some kind of relationship with him (however small) and this was sperm donor's way of putting an end to it and getting the point across that years of no involvement didn't do. Maybe the grandparents being gone and there no longer being a common tie, he felt it was time. I dunno. I can't say whether or not I would have given up trying to have a relationship with him if I were in Ketch's situation. I know I've poked fun at him and call out his thin skin every chance I get for blocking me on twitter, but this is a sad situation and I hope he finds the peace he's looking for with this. Maybe writing it was his way of putting it to bed.
