Zoom out to monthly and see the declining volume on this run up from the April low. Opposite of the increasing volume on the first big run up into the election. Possibly in stage 3/distribution leading into stage 4 downtrend.

Another look: It's in a wedge going back to October on the weekly. Below $311 expect more downside and above $370 would expect bullish push

Well that rocketed up. Fakeout of the wedge breakdown and now upside breakout.

POWL!

Sold a couple of February calls and bought a couple of puts in case this rally doesn't last.

I have been a longtime lurker on this thread so thanks to everyone for all of their contributions.

Has anyone else looked into Sable Offshore? I have been doing a CSP then CC wheel on it the last month. There has been positive news with the Feds allowing them to use the Las Flores pipeline while also blocking some environmental groups emergency stay appeals. There are many headwinds they face with a pipeline that is old and corroded and then the cost of extracting oil off the cost of California, including the state trying to fight them at every turn, as well as a lot of debt.

I think it's a gamble and has been giving me some great options premiums the past 6 weeks. They have some cover until the next Presidential election but will always be dealing with a hostile state government. Everything will hinge on their profitability once they begin producing to pay off heaps of debt. I'm willing to continue to play the volatility but am still pretty skeptical of going long on it.

I also wanted to add how cool it's been to see POWL take off over the years. I was part of the External Audit team working on Powell prior to Covid and I remember the stock price was pretty low (maybe $30 range). I have never invested in them because when the stock price ballooned, I still considered myself to have insider knowledge. I have since left the Public Accounting world and am far removed from POWL, they were always an impressive company with how they managed to have little debt and a solid profit margin due to the exceptional people I worked with while there. I'm just happy to see some Aggies join in on their success!

Phil Mickelson has been pimping them and complaining about CA gov't for a while on Twitter. I'm sure he's doing purely out of the goodness of his heart.

Put $VRT on your watchlist. If it takes out $190, then I expect it will breakout to ATHs. $220 print within the next 6 weeks is not out of the question. JMO DYODD.

I work in the industry. Been in vrt for about 2 years. Good luck slowing this thing down. Even the custom solutions by AWS, Google, Microsoft, quanta computer, foxconn, etc demand vrt controls and solutions for liquid cooling

We have to increase density in our facilities and liquid cooling it the only way we and our customers can do that. Not endorsing any company or stock.

Much of their products are tied into design with the big players. For example, their last dip was because "AWS designed their own cooling solution". The design AWS was using uses vrt infrastructure. The only unique thing about what AWS is doing is enables retro fitting of existing facilities by using in row heat exchangers, reducing down time of a data center moving to liquid cooling

This is a shot in the dark but I figured someone might have some insight.

My father is currently 64, and in 2024 earned an income of around $31,300. (Which is over the $23,400 limit by $8500, reducing his total benefit by $4,250 by my calculations.)

In 2024, when he was still 63, we went to the SS office to see if he could start claiming benefits. We were told that he could, and based on his age and 2023 income, his first payment would be coming in December 2025, for around $500 as I recall.

Three questions:
  • As of today, no payment has been made. I checked his SS account, and it says payments are currently suspended due to currently earning an income. We knew there would be a reduction, but not sure why payments are still currently suspended?
  • That ~$500 amount we were told of still doesn't make much sense to me. I have an excel chart showing that even at age 63, and with the income reduction, he should be receiving a monthly benefit of around $1k. Is my calculation wrong? (27% age reduction, $354 monthly income reduction)
  • Will his payments be permanently reduced, calculated based on age 63, even though he has yet to receive any payment?
A little confused on how to move forward at this point, so appreciate any help. (Will also be calling SS tomorrow to see what's going on.)

Edit: Spent hours on this yesterday and have most of it figured out. Was not previously aware of how AIME and PIA are calculated, and how that limits your max monthly benefit.

I recommend speaking with a SS attorney to help get it squared away. Be careful in what gets disclosed to the person at SSA as it may inadvertently affect his benefits. Maybe speak with attorney and have them deal with it.

RDDT going. Looking for ATH to start taking profit. Shorter NVDA swing trade exit just above $202

Exited NVDA due to ugly price action.

Jumped into a series of stocks this morning 15 min after opening bell for mostly day trading. Energy, defense, and metals. Held on to UNG too long and took a beating.

PLUG
SMR
USAR
RDW
SVM

All have had nice gains today. Offset the $3k in losses to UNG and then some so no complaints! Market ripping today.

Ugh. I'm going to be sick. I (incorrectly) assumed I had to have my SEP managed through the firm my company was using. Their fees are stupid high.

I could have been putting this in damn index funds for 0.04% or just a little higher fees for ETFs. Even just spread them around for diversification and risk. These f****** got a single digit return this year. Absolutely criminal.

No, it's volatile and also is a good trading candidate but it needs to take out $190 to confirm a run to ATHs and possible $220 print that I posted earlier.

This one looks intriguing and will dive deeper into it later. I do not like them losing money and want to find the reason why. I do like that they have very little debt if any. It's trying to break back above it's 50dma continuing it's uptrend on the technicals. I don't hate it, but I'm not in love with it either at this time and will research in more in depth shortly. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
