Reynisdjara Iceland in 2018. The black sand beach was majorly "altered" (eg erased) by a storm this week. Amazing place.

I assume that water will recede. That's a massive encroachment otherwise. Did the storm just eat away and "lower" the coastline?

Edit: I guess it did. I somehow missed the huge shelf /cliff the people are standing on.

I was reading some posts and they said its more that there has been a wind shift as well so the high winds are depositing the usual sand onto the beach. They were saying as long as the wind goes back to what it used to do that it'll come back

Good friend of mine is Icelandic and said they are already bringing rock in to rebuild it as well.
