Can anybody give me first hand info on Sandals Royal Bahamian? Some friends want the wife and I to go and are pretty insistent on that specific resort. Watching YT videos about it and about Sandals in general doesn't give us warm fuzzies about it.

We like the beach, and it doesn't seem to have much beach at all. I know you can take the boat to their private island, but that seems like a PITA. TIA

Honestly, it's not my favorite Sandals and I don't really love the location in Nassau. That said, I do have clients that have loved it and mainly because of their private island.
They also went through a renovation not too long ago and I think that has helped them.

As many all inclusive resorts that are out there in the Caribbean and Mexico I usually just lean towards other options but if someone is Sandals loyal or really really wants to see Nassau then it's an option.

I have been to Sandals Royal, Bahamian pre and post renovations. I send several clients to that resort if you are not working with a travel advisor my contact info is in my bio. I personally go each year to about 30 resorts so I have a lot of firsthand destination knowledge on what brands and resorts do a good job service wise and how you get the best bang for your dollar.i included a couple of my pics from the resort

I overall just am not a huge fan of the Bahamas. I feel like they are definitely on island time and their customer service is subpar.

We did enjoy the resort. I liked the private island. But even there the service was just mediocre. But food and drinks were good.

I also find it prices higher than the ones in Jamaica and other places.
