We'll be there in November. Same agenda it sounds like. What activities do you have planned? I'm debating adding an offshore excursion in MA.

Fall Break 2025:

Costa Rica for 9 days. A few days in the jungle near Arenal and the rest at the beach near Playa Flamingo. Activities and chill days all set.

San Diego, CA & Orange County, CA

La fortuna activities - ziplining, atv tour, hanging bridges, river rafting. MA - tour of the park, surf lessons, then found a catamaran tour that has snorkeling (I tried to find one that wasn't a total booze cruise).

Staying in Rapid city for 6 days. On the list is wind cave and badlands NP, Mt rushmore, Custer state park, hopefully a hot springs somewhere.

Africa for a wildlife photography trip.

Kenya:
Sheldrick Trust in Nairobi
Samburu (Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe)
Lake Nakuru (Rhinos and flamingos)
Masai Mara (Big 5 and trying to work with our guides to visit the herd of cattle gifted to the USA after 9/11 as a show of support, apparently we will be somewhat close to that area)

Then over to Botswana for a personal pilgrimage to a place called Kubu Island to pay homage to Top Gear and The Grand Tour TV shows (if you know you know, and yes I will be playing Brothers in Arms on the pans). Will be out in the middle of nowhere in northeast Botswana with nothing but the stars and a camping-equipped 4x4.

Long Columbus Day weekend in Cabo at the Montage.

Yeah, I'm in the same "boat," so to speak. Not looking for a party cruise. Want to take the kid out in the water and do some light snorkeling. I think I'm going to do the Planet Dolphin.

Oh, and in the spirit of the thread. We're headed up to Niagara next weekend. A couple days in Ontario and a couple of days in New York, with Letchworth State Park on the agenda as well.

I'm headed to St. Lucia next week and can't wait!

Good time to go, we were in Tokyo/Kyoto at the end of June and it was hotter there than it was back in DFW.

I haven't sold that one yet but have quoted it. It is close to the airport in the hotel zone, and on a great beach. The area is great for a 2 night stay. You can walk up and down the beach a good ways.

Thanks so much. This was a spontaneous trip, like thought about it Saturday and then pulled the plug on the tickets yesterday.
