How long do you want to ignore this user?
We are currently in Hawaii at a MVC property and listened to the sales pitch today regarding the MVC. It sounded positive during the presentation and we agreed to purchase, but only signed the initial purchase agreement. Due to another time commitment we didn't have time to complete all the paperwork and agreed to come back Friday to finish signing. After thinking it over, we have decided against proceeding. We know there is a "rescission period" on these contracts and in Hawaii I believe that is seven days. We plan to go back on Friday to inform them we will not be moving forward, but since we signed the original purchase agreement we want to make sure we get any cancellation processes handled correctly.

Has anyone gone through the cancellation.process on these "timeshare" purchases within the window and have advice on what steps we should take and forms we should make sure to get signed to void the contract?

No way I would go back and see them because they will be pressuring you for hours to complete the purchase. No way I would sign anything else they put in front of me because I wouldn't trust them that it would be a cancellation document. Contact your lawyer.

Yeah man, they already got you once without having any signed documentation beforehand. I would handle this remotely. A lawyer is cheaper than a timeshare

We went through the cancellation process with MVC.
It was no problem. Just sent by mail, certified.

Thanks. Did they send you an acknowledgement or did you just keep the certified mailing receipts for your records?

I don't remember. I went back and looked at my email file on MVC and did not find any response from MVC. But it was several years ago and if I got an email response I have deleted it now. I also looked at where I would have keep the certified receipt and nothing there either.

I am pretty sure I got a response from them but it has been so long that I no longer have that, neither written nor electronically stored.

Don't spend money on a lawyer. Just follow the instructions you were given to cancel your prior decision.
