There is a group of us going to Scottsdale at the end of September for a buddies' 40th birthday weekend.

I am in need of some recommendations for Italian food and also a nice steakhouse.

Any info/advice/recs are greatly appreciated.

Mastro's City Hall is good for steak and seafood.

Di Maggio's is hard to beat for Italian.

Hush Public House is neither steak or Italian but the food is excellent. It was my favorite from my last trip there.

If you find yourselves in the airport area of Scottsdale, I can recommend Arrividerci Ristorante. Oddly enough, they are an Italian restaurant. Not super-fancy, but a very nice, quiet, and restrained interior, and with a very friendly staff. We always look forward to eating there when we are in Scottsdale.

Can't help you with a steakhouse, but there seems to be some very good choices up around the Kierland Commons area.

We really enjoyed Culinary School Dropout last visit. It isn't italian or steak, but it was fantastic and was a happening fun place.

Don't recall the name, but we went to an italian place next to the Barstool bar. Food was great. Very small old school place. Felt like Michael was about to come out of the bathroom with a stubnose revolver and blast two guys.

Love this place. It's at 90th and Via Linda not far from where I think y'all are staying. It's small and I've only been for lunch but I find myself going back again and again. Andreoli Italian Grocer.

It's been closed since Feb for renovations (new ownership). Hoping to reopen in Dec.
