I went to Vegas for 5 days, stayed in a nice condo off the strip for $100/night in January, and never went to the strip once, except to drive through. Spent every day touring national parks/outdoors - Zion, Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Red Rocks...shopped at Kroger, and made sandwiches for lunch. Total bill for airfare, car, lodging, and for for 6 people was under $3K. More fun and less expensive to not be a degenerate sometimes.
