Considering a quick get away with family (2 grown boys) between Christmas and New Years. Tons of rental options.
Boys will ski etc, wife and I will just tool around, drink wine and eat some good food.
Educate me on where the best place to stay might be.

Check the Marriott Grand Lodge if that's your game
Or, there are a bunch of casinos on the Stateline, Nevada side.

You can ski at Heavenly by taking the gondola up from right next to the Marriott Grand Lodge.

We stayed at the Lake Tahoe Resort right on state line.

Set up like an embassy suites. Not an extravagant hotel like the Marriott lodge but also way more affordable.

Walked to gondola and most of everything (casinos, dinner, bars, etc.)
