Noticing a lot of work destinations are now SWA GSA city pairs so doesn't appear I'll be able to avoid them in the future. Although coworker told me that we automatically get the priority boarding without having to pay which is nice I guess. Wish they never moved back into COS and weren't expanding like crazy at DIA.

Buddy just had to fly SWA from HNL to COS with crazy ass connections on ****ty planes with no charging ability. He was missing the old UAL contract.

Yeah I don't understand how so many on here seem to have so many issues and such strong feelings. I don't fly as much as some (I'll have ~40 SWA flights this year), but I think I've had just one that was delayed more than an hour, and in that case I just had them put me on the earlier flight and all was good.

Maybe its an airport issue, but I'm mostly BWI, PIT, HOU, MIA, RSW, BOS, and LAX

I fly 2-3x a month and haven't had ANY issues. Kinda chalk it up to some people just struggle in life or set themselves up for disappoint via an external locust of control.

United isn't Delta. United isn't SWA. United isn't AeroMexico. United is United and those are the rules to play in their sandbox. The fees are made abundantly clear because it's required by law. Shocking how a lack of reading comprehension has projected onto United and not the user. United clearly provides the fees both during and after purchase and disclaim the requirements clearly as well. It's the law.

It depends. Flying out of Denver. We had a string of bad luck. Delayed 4 hours to StLouis. That was lightning, then winds, then the damn thing that hooks onto the front of the plane that pulls it into the dock bumped the jet (had to go back to gate due to delays) so we had an hour of paperwork. Christmas disaster. Entire terminal down in Phoenix due to a worker electrocuted himself. Had to rent a car and drive home. Blizzard in steamboat and plane had to go back to Denver. Then tried again later for a successful landing after 3 hours. Flight canceled out of Boston. Couldn't get a direct flight so flew through St. Louis with a change of planes and hours late arrival time. Just last week flight to Nawlins. Landed on time but delay to get an open gate because the private plane crash at Hobby diverted lots of traffic to NO.

I'd say we have had 2 smooth flights in 2 years with the rest having issues. The flight to Sacramento was smooth and my wife's last work trip to Vegas was on time. So many issues we elected to drive to March madness in Des Moines and Omaha for CWS.

It used to be with United that when you booked a ticket for somebody using points, they were able to benefit from your status. But they changed that in the mid-2010s. It was great while it lasted.

Nowadays when you book with points on United, they're always trying to get you to pay for a seat upgrade to Window, Aisle, Premium Economy, etc. They'll show all the "free" seats blocked out except for middles in the back.

I think 40 a year is a bunch. I'm at 35 so far.

But yeah, I don't have many issues and I also don't overlap with you outside of HOU.
Mostly HOU, ABQ, BOI, DEN, SLC, GEG

I know the northeast (specifically NYC and DC area) have been charting the most issues with air traffic control staffing woes. Coincidentally, I'll be flying through Reagan next week for the 2nd time this year.

He's an expert on everything, just let him be. I don't care if you fly 30 times a week and are Concierge Key on American, or Global Services on United. I guarantee you that he knows more than anyone here about pretty much everything.
