Anyone floated lately? showing 77CFS so definitely low and slow.

How much walking? We're looking to put in around Devil's Playground and put out passed the 3rd crossing.

Did the Horseshoe on Friday. Definitely low.

Once or twice we had to get up and walk a very short bit, but there were many more times where we needed to 'raise up' and hope to splash over to whichever side of the protruding rocks/islands/barriers was flowing better.

It's getting really close to the point that you aren't really 'floating.'

The horseshoe could use some rain bigly. Not sure how long it will take for the Lake to recover, but it is sad to see. Each of the last few weekends have been pretty busy with people floating. Not sure I would do it right now unless I could do it on a less busy weekday.

We have a trip planned for the weekend of the 4th/5th (2 weeks).

Staying at the Lazy L&L campground and planning on putting in there and getting out at one of their pickups down near Koozie's Icehouse/ Gypsy River resort.

We have a trip planned in August. Definitely worried about water levels. Any rain in the forecast?

Yep I checked the extended forecast right after I posted and was not encouraged.

This site (https://www.riversportstubes.com/Weather.htm) seems to indicate that being above 70 means things are pretty OK. Disappointed to hear how much lifting there was for 01CivilAg. I floated last year and right as I was going through a particularly shallow/rocky stretch my cooler toob line broke and I had to make a snap decision to grab onto it and hand my personal toob to a friend. Got dragged behind it scraping my knees and shins for a couple hundred yards before I could stop and retie. Really hoping to avoid the same fate this year!

Alcohol was involved and my distance estimation skills in such a moment may be off. It felt like a lifetime.

Canyon Lake is lower than it was in 2011-2012.

Floated the horseshoe in Sattler this past Saturday thru Wednesday. River level is same as it has been for the last several summers when we go in July. Ass dragging...definitely. Good time...always. Increase in number of canopies in the river, especially around White Water Amphitheatre, especially with weekend campers. They like to build rock dams around their canopies in the river...I was hoping the river would turn me into a battering ram, but no luck. Ladies swimsuit bottoms get smaller every year, cant say the same thing for those that wear them.

Any more recent first hand accounts? Seems the flowrate on the Guad is staying steady. Heading down next weekend (8/10-13)

I talked to a person and said the area they floated (past devil's playground to 3rd crossing was fine. No walking 3.5hr float.

We'll be there this weekend and will report back.

how are you going to park/travel for this show? I'd just like to Uber but worried about getting one there at midnight.

Haven't been this year, but went to Rainbow Kitten Surprise last year. We were staying at the Hideout on the Horseshoe who offers a shuttle but traffic was so bad that the people who decided to walk beat us there (or at least tied).

After the show we walked to this bar: https://goo.gl/maps/BNw25YycUdX5H42B7

They were having a strange blacklight/glow party that turned out to be pretty fun actually. We hung out there for a bit and walked back but you could easily order an Uber.

Would def recommend walking a bit away from the venue before trying to order a car (and plan to wait a bit). Traffic in the area gets pretty bad.

Saw that on gmaps... considered just going there and parking, having a beer or two, and then walking to the concert. I bet they're big sticklers on that. Do you know if they were charging for parking or anything?

We moved to San Marcos a few weeks ago, so not as convenient as it was before. Can't wait to build back out there again.

Usually when we go to whitewater, we park at the Tiger Stop Parking. It is up the a little bit, but away from the main lot and right across the street. There is also a lot or two next to River Rose that has parking and it is usually $20.00

Uber from there at the end of the concert seems like a crap shoot and maybe long wait times. I don't really know as I have never done it from there, but at some concerts it is a PITA.

I don't like fighting the drink lines at Whitewater, so I will cut myself off on alcohol after the first two. It will be hydration only after that.

You are staying not too far from the venue. Hit me up if you want a ride back to your place after the show. I can handle 2-3 people.

what about 4 drunken, sweaty dudes? We'll gladly ride in the back of a truck.

We're staying at the Lazy L&L campground down River Road (~4 miles).

I sent my number via pm.

You will have to find your own way to the show, but we will take you back afterwards.

Not yet. I am thinking that the notice the other day said that it would be about 48 hours before the show. So, I don't expect them until tomorrow.

got it - thanks. I contacted ticketweb and they said it was delayed. "Within 72 hours"

Was climbing out in an area with some steep steps and slipped. Fell /tumbled down the embankment probably 10 ft or so. Not good.

The Guadalupe is dry from above Comfort all the way to Canyon Lake. They typically release more water on weekends to help the outfitters/tubers. Don't know if they can do that much longer with nothing coming in to Canyon Lake.

Pretty deep around where we're staying. Was like that on Thursday. Just south of Sattler.

Sattler gage height and flow have been consistent for weeks so I am somewhat optimistic.
