My parents are coming home from India and are insisting they will call their Uber friend to pick them up and take them home. They've been gone for 6 months so they will have 2 big suitcases each.

Is it possible to catch an Uber from international arrivals?

My original plan was to go get them. I'd park in B, take our favorite train over and do the same coming back. I'd just have their luggage to contend with along with the lines of people doing the same as me.

Thoughts? Sorry if this has been a topic lately.

Yes you can get an Uber at E but it's packed with many international arrivals doing the same and a complete zoo. Your plan is much better.

If they will be arriving in Terminal E, then they can either take an uber or you can pick them up directly from E, no need to do the B train thing. I was picked up from Terminal E recently with no issues.

Terminal D is the one thats closed for pickups.

I arrived last night from London and there were about 200+ people waiting for Ubers and Cars for pickup at E. I was picked up at B and drove by the mass of people and traffic picking people up at E. Perhaps the time of day matters. Mine was Tuesday around 6 pm.

I just got an Uber from C. He said if you are requesting an Uber from D, he and all his Uber buddies are canceling it. I don't blame them. It's a traffic mess.

My folks arrived today at 2:15. Parked in B, took the '60's tram over. They walked out of customs 2 minutes after we got there. No trouble getting the train back to B.

We were in and out in under 45 minutes.

B was jam packed - I made a reservation for a spot and would not have gotten in if not for that. It was worth the $24.
