Wife is Wanting to Traveling to Downtown CABO during the day. What are safe ways of travel? I read not to use UBER because they probably are not with UBER. Not wanting to use the local taxies either. Wife is Spanish so going to use her to talk to the Resort for any help.

We go to Cabo every year. Although we rent a car last year there was a bunch of us. Some of my 30 yo kids took Uber. No problems they used the app. In Cabo it is the real deal. I just got back from Cancun & that would be a place NOT to use Uber.

Thanks. I just had read that Uber was not real in Cabo. I will look into it more.

Went last month and used Uber a bunch. No issues. Everything was legit and I felt perfectly safe.

Trip we won from my wife's work a few years ago. So not too fancy but can walk to the other RIU resort to swim and eat

Used Uber from the resort into town and back in Jan 2022. No issues either way

Went last year and it was like $35 each way for the 10 min cab ride into town

Way too expensive so we only went once but were only there for a few nights

I was told that Uber was not legal in Cabo by the hotel and you had to catch them out on the highway in front of the resort. I wish I have used Uber after paying $70 for the cab rides

How can it possibly be fake? Someone intercepts your Uber request via the app?

I always pre-schedule transportation with reputable companies. I realize most people Uber without problems, but my colleague's Uber driver turned off the app, drove her somewhere random and demanded money before they would take her to her regular place. Of course, she reported it to Uber, but it was still a scary situation. Uber cannot pick up from the airport, but they can drop back off. My aunt does it.
