Why do we lose to the crappiest teams? Pelicans, kings, clippers etc
Sengun was an all star last year yet he misses both free throws in a game we're down 2; in the final 5 minutes.
I just don't know if I buy him as a consistent star player. He does too much dumb **** at critical times

We looked pretty darn disjointed last year when FVV was injured for a stretch too.
We have a talented team but no true point guard on the team at all.
We have some talented guards as SGs, and defensive specialists and a do-it-all athlete type. But we have NO guard who can run the offense.

KD had to play nearly 40 minutes again in a bad loss
Okogie+Holiday+DFS+Sheppard continue to be useless

I think we have the personnel and can survive without FVV for the regular season while maintaining good position in the standings. It's just the sloppy stuff. Missed shots, missed free throws, dumb turnovers, etc. All of that can be cleaned up and improved on.
The losses are disgusting for sure, especially considering the teams played. Whole WCF is kind of ass over the past month, so I guess there's that.

The big question becomes FVV's recovery before the post season
From the way they looked last night, they just might be ready to have a fork stuck in them. Woeful.

Finally figured it out with Jabari. He has weak hands. Like whatever Kawhi Leonard's hands are, Jabari has the opposite. He can't secure easy rebounds, he loses balls on drives, easy to swipe the ball out of his hands, all of it. Has all of the skill in the world but he has bad hands.

All those years of tanking and the only good players we drafted are Sengun and Thompson.

This is my thought. I don't follow the rockets nearly as close as most of you do but the tank job hasn't seemed to pay off.
The biggest problem is none of those lotto picks can score from the perimeter. Sengun and Thompson are mid range kings. Jabari is too inconsistent. The league has figured out Reed. Until we find a PG and someone outside of Durant that can shoot we will never be a great team. So basically, the exact problems we had 5 years ago are still problems and we have had eleventy billion top 5 picks.
The Jabari contract just keeps looking worse. He's steadily regressed into a terrible shooter at all levels and hasn't come close to making up for it on the defensive end. Shooting .430/.346/.768 coming into tonight which has only gotten worse.
You pair that with no FVV, Sengun playing awful, an old and tired KD, Amen not developing a full offensive skillset by year 3, and the book being out on Sheppard? Well, you get exactly what we're seeing
