Wolves' first league goal since October
I think I've seen this movie before. I don't like it but for some reason I keep watching it.
I thought it was pretty cool how we were just watching Wolves play on that goal rather than doing, I don't know, anything.
We should've sacked this guy at the end of last season. He's never going to get it turned around

I like how the refs always say "My final decision is..." after a VAR review. As if there will be a time when they say "Right now I'm thinking it was a penalty but I could be persuaded otherwise later after a beer."

Well, Wolves are bad but so is Burnley and that didn't stop us from making that game way too competitive. At home no less. They played a very solid 2nd half and didn't let that 10-15 minute spell at the end of the 1st half become a trend.

Well, they chased the loss to Arsenal with a loss to Leeds and a draw to Bournemouth. We aren't exactly in a position to point fingers, but they've been a little poor the past few weeks in dropping 8 points out of 9. *shrug*
Sounds like Amorim might be at least sporadically changing formations soon...potentially as soon as tonight. He's been alluding to some changes and the imminent departures of Amad and Mbeumo coupled with De Ligt and Maguire injuries suggest he kind of has to now. I like Heaven but I'm not sure I want to trust him as the middle center back in a back 3 for an extended period of time.
Reports they've been practicing a 4-3-3 more. I would assume the front 3 would be a narrow 3 since we no longer really have any true wingers on the first team. If Mainoo can't get into a new 4-3-3 (should it actually come), then just sell the man in January and be done with it.

I don't think it's really the CBs that's the issue though; we will be playing Luke Shaw plus two CBs either way. It's basically a choice between (during AFCON):
Sesko
Cunha - Mount
Dorgu-Bruno-Case-Dalot
Shaw-Heaven-Yoro
Or something like:
Sesko
Cunha-Bruno-Mount
Mainoo-Case
Shaw-Heaven-Yoro-Dalot
So as far as personnel, you are basically picking between Dorgu and Mainoo… (potentially a couple options like Zirkzee in the 10s/9, Licha at CB, but… we have an undeniably thin bench during AFCON).

I think if Maguire or De Ligt was available, say at the expense of Heaven, that Amorim would probably not be as interested in entertaining the 2nd option over the 1st.
Well, I guess we won't know, but seems like the problem is losing our right side, and we don't left footed attackers to replace.
