We have a 1986 Avion 34V up for sale (single family owned since new). This unit was purchased new by my grandparents and used by them to see the U.S. in their retirement. As they aged we bought it from them and used it for local trips in the TX hill country following a light refresh a few years ago.

It's now time for another refresh in the hands of the next owner. Avions are extremely well built, anodized aluminum units with independent suspension at each wheel. These guys were built to directly take on Airstream by offering a higher build quality.

Asking $8,900.

If you're interested in a worthwhile project, come take a look! Think of this as a Mike Elko donation fund (#1 son is at TAMU; #2 son is accepted for Fall 2026) as proceeds will be handed over to tuition account.

We're located in the San Antonio area (Hondo). Happy to talk more and do a virtual walk thru. Send me a PM if interested.

I can vouch for how awesome Avions are. Have a 21' that I totally gutted. Very well built.

Wish I had the time for another build as the one I have is cramped with 4 kids. But with 4 kids I have no time…

Thank you for your patience everyone! I've been traveling for work this week and unable to respond.

A few more details on the Avion. It's been parked for about 4 years. There were some areas of leaking from the roof vents which is evidenced by light delamination in a few spots on the upper cabinet doors. Structurally all seems to be good. Will likely sand and paint cabinets if we keep.

I recommend a third party RV inspection for anyone serious to help satisfy yourself on condition. Here's my best shot at repair items needed.

Primary items:

Replace main a/c
Install Magic Fan (have one in a box)
Replace shocks
Consider replacing drums and brakes
New tires (deep tread remaining but they are 10 yrs old)
New cushions and mattresses
Replace window lining/seals
Replace wood backing on rear hatch and utility hatch doors
Reapply polymer roof coating
Seal all roof components

Secondary items:

Paint cabinets
Replace curtains
Upgrade to 50 amp
Add second a/c
New wheels

Most everything else looks to be in fair to good condition.
