His transformation into Screech is nearly complete.
Really hate to see this. I doubt he has the resolve to truly train himself into top shape. He's gone from one of the greatest college football players EVER to a complete sideshow. He must really need the money.

I remember when he played at A&M that his family had oil money. I've not watched Johnny or anything about Johnny since Mike Sherman tried to give him a job in the CFL and he blew it. I've been over JFF a long time.

The oil money story was a cover for all the money we were paying him.

JFF literally said on camera in the Netflix documentary about him that the whole oil money thing was made up. it was to cover up the fact people were putting money in his pocket, getting paid to sign autographs and flying around in a private jet.

The guy WAS unbelievable. He will always be an Aggie legend in my eyes. That said, I don't want him to be harmed anymore than he's done himself but I'd like to see him get himself in great shape and then get knocked around a little. As small as he is there is a chance he could compete weight-wise but as has been said, I don't think he has the resolve to last long. Had he grown up with Mike Evan's I might feel a little more confident.

The 'Oil Money" is partially true.
Patriarch of the family Bobby Manziel, who is JFF's GGF, did make money in oil. In fact, he leased mineral rights on some land that my GF owned.
Bobby Manziel was a boxer. Look up the "Syrian Kid". He teamed up w/ Jack Dempsy to promote fights at The Oil Palace in Tyler. Unfortunately, Bobby died before the palace was finished.
