Just got the last stub - 1944 orange bowl. I have only seen 5 of these in my life.

This team as known as the kiddie corps as they were mostly freshman and sophomores with average age of 19 years old. As the war was raging and depleting Texas A&M student body coach Homer Norton was having a tough time fielding a team and had campus wide tryouts. The team went on to win 7 games, losing 2 and tying 1.

Playing a team that they won against in the regular season, LSU, the young Aggies put up a valiant effort to come up short 19-14 but will for ever go down in Aggie football lore.

Below is the entire football ticket stub collection minus the 1922 Dixieland Classic (unicorn) and starting with the 2021 orange bowl to present as they are all now electronic tickets. They do make field, press, and security/concession passes but I haven't come across these yet to the 2021 orange bowl, 2023 Texas and 2024 Las Vegas bowl. If someone has one I would love to talk to you about it.

Gig'em Aggies!

That's pretty amazing. When did you start collecting and how many of those are your personal tickets to the game?

I have been collecting since I was a 10 years old. Started collecting and focusing on Texas A&M tickets since I was a freshman in 1991. I have been to ten of these 40 bowl games starting with 1992 cotton bowl - I was front row in the end zone to see the Greg Hill fumble come right at me in the corner of the end zone. I think the only bowl games that they have won that I have attended was the Galleryfurniture.com bowl against TCU and Johnny Manziel lighting up Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl in 2013 and Kyle Bryant's kicking clinic at the Alamo Bowl in 1995.

The biggest bowl game I guess I have been to was the Sugar Bowl in 1999 against Ohio State. Man that was disappointing and farthest game I have travelled to although not a bowl game was the Pigskin Classic against Stanford. We won that one 10-7.

I would like to thank all of the people I have met along the way while collecting these tickets and helped me acquire some of them.

Super cool hobby.

You should consider chronicling your time spent on this and tell stories of each ticket stub pursuit.

It would be a super niche market but if nothing else it would be something your family would appreciate.

Wow, our Aggiehood overlaps almost perfectly. I started in 1990. Congrats on the 24-0 home record as a student (we were only 23-0-1). I was at the 3 consecutive Cotton Bowl losses, the Sugar Bowl, the Alamo Bowls against MI (Bryant was actually 5/6) and PSU. I have a stub collection, too, but never pursued games I didn't attend...and hate the electronic tickets now.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough

I am actually working on a Johnny ticket collection home and away with all 2012 and 2013 tickets so I wouldn't mind discussing this ticket with you.

I went to and have all my stubs from 2012 and 2013 (home, road, and neutral), except for the 2013 Missouri game. Idk what I'll ever do with them, email me if you want to make an offer 7002ga at gmail
