We're not going to pay for two QB1s.

If so, then Reed needs to take a pay cut.

Let's see how he does against teams with defenses.
He is immediately the starter at Auburn. He would be at A&M too - with a bullet. Washington was highly recruited for a reason, and could've had a similar impact at A&M as Adam Mohammed.

those IU backs hit the hole at warp speed. There is ZERO hesitation or dancing around in the backfield. VERY impressive.

1) Make a hole
2) Hit the hole
3) Beat the safety
4) Profit

Are we having a hard time convincing RB's to come here or are we just not making them a priority enough to pay what we want to pay? We definitely need a big power back.

We aren't looking for a RB1 or RB2. We want a bruiser that will run the ball maybe 5 times a game

Going to be hard to find one.

If that's the case, Elko must think Morrow is RB1 because Owens isn't.

Owens 1, Morrow 2, Riden 3 powerback

If Owens is our #1, we in trouble. He's not a lead SEC type RB

Coaches aren't infallible. Plus it's a football message board, not everyone has to agree with the coach all the time. That doesn't make them wrong and you right.

Until they run up against great defenses, then we need something extra. So I think what you say is true for most teams but we need an absolute game changer running back to go all the way. We don't have that.

I agree. Unless there's a huge, surprising, improvement from our young RBs, we'll have problems. We've had teams with 2-3 backs better anything we've seen from our current RB group.

Owens would be a great lead back if he could run without tripping over his own feet

Why don't we just portal in a DT that we are highly intersted in and make the cherry on top the carrot that he could be used in short yardage/goaline offensive situations like we did with Daylon Mack back in the day. What big man doesnt want his day to shine???

If that's the case, just put a DT back there and hand it to em.

Not sure Owens is gonna pan out and become the RB1 we hoped he'd be

Owens had 5.4 yards per carry. Tops on A&M and 7th among RBs in the SEC with 100+ carries.

Trayveon wasn't the best at any aspect of being a RB, but he was really good at every aspect of being a RB.

Jtrain was so much fun to watch, he would truck the LBs and DBs for the fun of trucking them then go for another three or 4 yards. SEC is a bit tougher than the Big12, he might only be trucking the DBs in the SEC, but man it would be fun to hear the collisions with the LBs as he went for just 2 or three more yards instead of three or four more.

Also extremely impressive that he is still on an NFL roster with how few carries he's had
